It'll be another great Dance Party this Thursday night Feb. 2nd at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of fun and snacks and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation. Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The phenomenal DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.
DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive. Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive. The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.
Last Thursday (Jan. 26th) was the CHINESE NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 2 days before Chinese New Year. Thanks in part to 8 first-timers, there were over 35 happy dancers who enjoyed dancing to DJ Mel's music, as you can see in the 6 photos below. THURSDAY JANUARY 26, 2017, CHINESE NIGHT Dance Party at Eastlake:
NENE, who is part Chinese, was spectacular, and she brought multi-colored little cakes which are on the table in the photo above. Later, she won a prize.
DJ MEL was up & running at 6pm, with a big banner for the Chinese "New Year of the Rooster."
DINNER LINE-UP. Nina provided a blessing for the food, as dancers lined up for a lot of food. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits - Nick & Eden brought meat, vegetables & potatoes. Beth brought special salad & grapes. Romy & Josie brought coffee & coffee maker. Nedy brought arroz caldo. Edith & Gino brought jicama salad & dressing. DJ Mel & Susie brought potato salad. Ralph brought bibingka. Rei brought cookies. And, there was more.
LINE DANCING was off and on all evening. Above, Edith, Neriza, Vicky, Nina and Beth were sort-of in the front line for "Electric Slide".
BALLROOM. We guys preferred the ballroom dances. Above, Tito & Gloria came, after many months, and in the photo above I think they danced to "Blue Tango". Later, they won a prize.
CHINESE NIGHT BEST ATTIRE WINNERS. Wow! It was a beautiful sight! Winners: Sisi, who was born in China, Papa Nick, Tito & Gloria, Edith R (next to the 2 judges Edith D & Nina), Neriza, Nene and Bernie. DJ Mel was also a prize winner.

It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties. This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance. Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night cha cha dancing in San Diego.
