No Dance at Point Point Joint This Thursday, Apr. 2, 2015

Hello Dancers,

No Dance Party at Point Point Joint this Thursday night Apr. 2, 2015, in observance of Holy Thursday.  Next dance party in about 10 days: Thursday April 9th.

Last Thursday March 26th DJ Bing played to a big crowd of over 40 dancers at the Joint.  The following 4 photos tell part of the story.          (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):

THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (MAR. 26, 2015):

Josie and Romy enjoyed dancing to "Blue Tango" in the photo above.

Next to them, Lito and Lou were also having fun with "Blue Tango".

A while later Ruben was dancing with Dolores to the melodic rumba "Cuando Me Enamaro".

Lots of line dances, as usual - including non-stop from 6pm to 7pm.  Late in the evening, a special guest joined the line dancers for "Blurred Lines".  It was Solly's granddaughter back a couple rows in the turquoise dress.  Solly wore an orange-colored blouse, and she is behind Nedy, Edith and Gloria who were in front.

It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point Joint with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.  Well, this week is one of the weeks with no Thursday night dance.  For the April 9th Dance Party, Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, as usual will offer their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.

Here's the plan for the next few weeks at Point Point:

Thursday  April 2, 2015   NO DANCE in observance of Holy Thursday

Thursday  April 9, 2015  6-10pm, DJ Bing Villafuerte, 858-610-7514

Thursday  April 16, 2015  6-10pm, DJ Bing Villafuerte, 858-610-7514

Thursday  April 23, 2015  6-10pm, DJ Bing Villafuerte, 858-610-7514

See you on the dance floor,
Bert & Edith

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego - they are private parties, and this is your invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best rumba dancing lessons in San Diego.
