VALENTINES DANCE and FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday February 9, 2017

Hello Happy Dancers!   

 It'll be VALENTINES DANCE & FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY in Eastlake this Thursday night Feb. 9th at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll Roses for all ladies.  If you have a birthday in February, come to your party.  There'll be balloons for birthday guys.  There'll be prizes for Best Attire, lots of fun, and snacks and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The spectacular DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.   

DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 2, 2017, Dance Party at Eastlake:

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm-7pm, and off & on for the rest of the night.  There was some practice for Feb. 23rd's Mardi Gras Night.  Above, they danced to "Feeling Hot", with Nedy, Rei and DJ Bing in the front line.

THE FOOD LINE.  Nina gave the blessing and a prayer for Maria who is recovering from a reaction to medication.  There was a lot of food.  Here's a "Thank You", and some credits.  Nick & Eden brought grilled ribeye steak!!  And, they brought patola soup.  Beth brought papaya & oranges.  Ralph brought baked chicken.  Rei brought quiche, both cheese & spinach styles.  Nora & Joe brought bibingka and summon. Nina brought Danish pastries.  Nedy brought snacks.  And, there was more. 

BALLROOM.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Dwayne and Eva danced to the night club two-step "Yo Te Amo".

COLD OUTSIDE?  DJ Bing sort of reminded us about the cool weather by playing the foxtrot "Baby It's Cold Outside".  Edith and Ralph danced to it in the photo above.

"CABALLERO" continues to be a popular line dance.  Above, Edith and Beth were in the front line for "Caballero".

  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music is non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night rumba dancing in San Diego.
