Well, there will be NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday September 10th at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, because we reduced the schedule to have dances only for special events, usually every other week. So, come to the September Birthdays Dance Party on September 17th, especially if you have a birthday in September.
DIRECTIONS: Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

AN ARABIAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, September 3, 2026, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a mild and dry night. There were just over 50 in attendance, thanks in part to 1 first-timer. Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most were copied from Facebooks.

LINE DANCING was a favorite. In the photo above, Roland's Inspiring Dancers, in ARABIAN attire, performed a line dance to "Yallah Habibi" line dance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-JT4iNLmkI ). In this photo we see Jannet, Irish, Faye, Eva, Lolit and Roland.
"THE FRIENDS" PERFORMED, in the photo above, dancing to the song "Waylay" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbxBdXfJZWM ), which was choreographed for this occasion by Angie. In the photo we see Eden, Rei, Nedy, Karina, Belen, Beth, Sheila, Angie, Josie and Connie.
UPCOMING THURSDAY NIGHTS signs for Thursday nights at Lola Happy Bistro were held by "Ring Girls" Estrelle, Eden (who hadn't been to Thursday night dancing in over a year), Eva and Faye, in the photo above.
BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, I got to dance with Edith to what I think was the rumba "Esta Noche" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cNaPsyNQws ).
WINNING COUPLES in ARABIAN Night party attire posed for the photo above. They were Jannet & DJ Bing, Ver & Ditas, Connie & Ric, Franco & Belen, Mark & Rei, Roland & Irish, and Geraldine & Romi. Lydia and Josie were the prize & judging committee, plus Rei also donated prizes.

It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) This is the best Thursday night dance in the San Diego area -- a Thursday night at Lola Happy Bistro - a Thursday night dance in National City, with ballroom and line dances, Filipino dances, cha cha cha dancing and swing dancing on a Thursday night in San Diego. While the dancing and music will be non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free one-on-one ballroom and line dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
