Hello Dancers,
Well, I heard no complaints about my putting two pictures into the email without attaching them, to reduce email size. So, I'll keep doing it.
It was a going away party atmosphere this past Wednesday September 22nd, during FOREVER YOUNG NIGHT as part of Lucky Star Restaurant's weekly 'Filipino Night', because Oscar is heading to the Philippines for about nine months. He danced with most of the women (see some photos).
There were about 35 happy FOREVER YOUNGSTERS and about 25 other party-goers in the ballroom. DJ Eric, the One-Man Band, played a mere 7 line dances and about 32 other ballroom dances between 7pm-9:30pm. Four dances each got about 25 dancers onto the floor: "Cumbia Semana" (yes, the line dance!!), "MacArthur Park" (disco hustle at 7:30!), "Boca Con Boca" cha cha, and a merengue. , "Coco Jamboo", and "Tennessee Waltz" line dances each got about 20 dancers.
You can enjoy yourself and join the fun, frolic and laughter: Once again, this coming week FOREVER YOUNG NIGHT will again be WEDNESDAY NIGHT (September 29th) in the LUCKY STAR RESTAURANT from 6 to 9:30pm.
LINE DANCE TUESDAYS (free!) - About 20 line dancers showed up on Tuesday September 21st for line dancing led by the ever-energetic Nina at Point Point Joint. I had fun with nearly an hour devoted to the "Tennessee Waltz" and a half hour to "September". We had break for a nutrition drink demonstration. We had fun dancing "Volare", "Can't Take My Eyes Off You", "Sway", "Coco Jamboo", "Cumbia Semana" and other line dances.
You can join the fun this coming Tuesday (September 28th) at Point Point Joint, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, 6:30-9:00, when Nina will again lead us through fun line dances.

Sundays, Filipino-American Senior-Junior Golden Years Association, dancing and food, at K-P Hall, 200 E. Plaza Blvd., National City. $7. Dancing more-or-less from noon till 3pm, featuring Harana Band and DJ during breaks. Edith & I went to check this out on Sunday and were amazed - about 150 people there, with close to 100 dancing on some songs, including several who come to FOREVER YOUNG NIGHTS: Dion, Nita, Ping, Pol, Carlos, Rima, Jack, Mel, Rose & husband, and Rory. We even talked to DJ Dwayne and DJ Eric who were there.
Wednesday karaoke and some dancing 9pm-1am at Jasmine Restaurant on Convoy Street, hosted by Kristina, the Filipina karaoke queen.
Friday night dances: There are 3 that begin variously between 7 or 8pm and go till about 11pm: the 32nd Street Dance Group on the Naval Station, the Poway Group, and the relatively new RMX Group that meets in the Studio FX, 9499 Kearny Villa Road near Mira Mar Road.
Monday-Friday, roughly 9am-noon, Tooma Park Seniors, meet under a cabana at Bay Terraces Park, 7449 Tooma Street, San Diego.

Practice Blog with Sept 8 Report
Hello Dancers,
With about 35 FOREVER YOUNGSTERS along with about 15 other revelers, DJ Eric, the One-Man Band, hosted another FOREVER YOUNG NIGHT at Lucky Star this past Wednesday September 8th, as part of Lucky Star's weekly 'Filipino Night'. .
DJ Eric played 8 line dances and about 40 other ballroom dances during the night. There was plenty of room on thedance floor as there were barely 25 dancers up at any one time, and a few dancers enjoyed that, as they danced almost every dance. "Lady In Red", a night club 2-step, "After The Loving", "Disco Inferno", "Swing Medley", and a cumbia, were favorites. The line dance favorite was "September" with just over 15 dancers at 7:30pm. Among other line dances, "Coco Jamboo" got a lot of dancers up, as did "Tennessee Waltz" in its first play at aFOREVER YOUNG NIGHT.
Come on over and join the fun, frolic and laughter: Once again, this coming week FOREVER YOUNG NIGHT will again be WEDNESDAY NIGHT (September 15TH) in the LUCKY STAR RESTAURANT from 6 to 9:30pm.
LINE DANCE TUESDAYS (free!) - About 24 line dancers showed up on Tuesday September 7th for line dancing and a PARTY (!!!) led by the ever-energetic Nina at Point Point Joint. The night was special as we celebrated Nina's birthday, we were joined by some who we had not seen in many many weeks, and many of the ladies brought in lots of food. Dancers enjoyed more training on"September" line dance, introduced by Angie. Penny and yours truly did training on the YouTube line dance favorite, "Tennessee Waltz", which has German lyrics and a disco hustle tempo. People were coming and going during the evening, but we got most of them in a "class picture" attached, left-to-right sitting: France, Marilou, Edith, Lee, Nina, Eva, Divine and Rei; standing: Oscar, Bong, Mel, Gloria, Jun, Beth, Nedy, Belen, Ledy and Zeny. Come join the fun this coming Tuesday (September 14th) at Point Point Joint, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, 6:00-9:00, when Nina will again lead us through fun line dances.
OTHER HAPPENINGS:
Art Tennessee reports that Wednesday evening karaoke and dancing 9pm-1am at Jasmine Restaurant on Convoy Street is attracting people we know, since Kristina, the Filipina karaoke queen began there earlier this summer.
