Hello Dancers,  
    Well, there will be NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday March 12th, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, because we reduced the schedule to have dances only for special events, usually every other week.  BUT, be sure to come to the ST. PATRICK's DANCE PARTY on March 19, 2026, especially if you have some St. Patrick's green attire.


  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

A MARCH BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, March 5, 2026, with Roland and me substituting for DJs who went to the Philippines.  The party was in Lola Happy Bistro, on a cool and dry night.  There were almost 60 in attendance thanks in part to 6 first-timers.  A 1-year anniversary at Lola Happy Bistro was celebrated with Lola and with Martinelli's Sparkling Cider.  Here are 5 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, all were copied from Facebooks:

LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, Roland's Inspiring Dancers performed the line dance "Angelina Cha" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYQ3gpGdsXY ).   In front were Irish, Eva, Lolit and Faith.  Behind them were Remy (partially seen), Geraldine, Beverly and Jean. Behind them were Belinda and Mary Jane (partially seen).

A MARDI GRAS DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, February 19, 2026, with DJ Nickie Bascos.  On a cool night with light rain early in the evening.  There were 45 in attendance , thanks in part to 14 first-timers.  Here are 6 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, all were copied from Facebooks.

  WINNING COUPLES in Mardi Gras attire posed for the photo above.  They were Geraldine & Romi, Eliza & Rolly (first-timers), Connie & Ric, Ver & Ditas, Mark & Rei, Irish & Roland, and DJ Nickie & Aurea.    With Edith as Chief Judge, Josie donated and handed out prizes.  Dwayne & Eva were also winners, but were not in this photo.

 

 

 WINNING SINGLES in Mardi Gras attire posed for the photo above.  In this photo we see Karina, Leo, Irish, Evelyn (a first-timer), Emma, Luz, Virgie, Beth, Liz, Nedy and Lolit.  Estrelle, Sheila, Amor, Lala, and first-timers Emi and Debbie were also winners, but not in this photo.

  Well, there will be NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday January 29th at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, because we reduced the schedule to have dances only for special events, usually every other week.  So, come to the February Birthdays Party on February 5th, especially if you have a birthday in February. 

  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with some regular customers.

A 70's DISCO DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, January 22, 2026, with DJ Nickie Bascos.  On a cool night with occasional light rain, there were 45 in attendance.  Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, all were copied from Facebooks.

  LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, Roland's Inspiring Dancers, in 70's Disco attire, performed "YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT" line dance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9X2zce3Jf4Y ).  In front was Lolit and Irish, behind them were Eva, Remy, Nila and Gody.  In back were Mary Jane and Roland.

 

 

  "THE FRIENDS" PERFORMED.  In the photo above "The Friends", in 70's Disco attire danced "Dancing Queen" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFrGuyw1V8s ) dance choreographed by Angie.  In the photo Connie, Karina, Sheila and Josie were in front.  Belen, Beth and Rei were in back. 

 

 

  WINNING COUPLES in 70's Disco attire posed for the photo above.  They were Remy & Chris, Ver & Ditas, Connie & Ric (who took this photo), Mark & Rei, Aurea & DJ Nickie, and Irish & Roland.  Estrelle, Josie and Rei were prize donors.  Josie, Rei and Lydia handed out prizes.

A JANUARY BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, January 8, 2026, with DJ Willie Paje for the 1st time in Lola Happy Bistro, on a cool and dry night.  There were almost 60 in attendance thanks in part to 12 Birthday celebrants (!!!) and 8 first-timers.  Here are 6 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most were copied from Facebooks:
