NO DANCE at LOLA HAPPY BISTRO Thursday May 7, 2026

Hello Dancers,  
   Well, there will be NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday May 7th at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, because we reduced the schedule to have dances only for special events, usually every other week.  So, come to the May Birthdays Party Night on May 14th, especially if you have a birthday in May. 

  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

A CINCO DE MAYO NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, April 30, 2026, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a mild and dry night. There were over 60 in attendance, the most so far in 2026, thanks in part to 5 first-timers.  Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most were copied from Facebooks.

  UPCOMING THURSDAY NIGHTS signs for Thursday nights at Lola Happy Bistro were held by "Ring Girls" Mary Jane, Nora, Evelyn and Beth (a first-timer), all in Cinco De Mayo party attire, in the photo above.

 

 

  LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, Roland's Inspiring Dancers, in Cinco De Mayo party night attire, performed a new line dance called "No Me Llevas" line dance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OajfxzzxI0I ).  In the front line were Faith and Mayet. Mary Jane, Roland and Eva were in the middle line.  Nearest the audience were Irish and Lolit (mostly hidden). 

 

 

  GROOVE & GLAM PERFORMED, in the photo above, in Cinco De Mayo party night attire. Groove & Glam is a relatively new dance group, and the audience appreciated seeing them for the first time performing a line dance in Lola Happy Bistro.  In the line by the audience were Mayet, Marie and Faith. Jean, Beverly and Analyn were nearer the stage. 
  

 

 WINNING COUPLES in Cinco De Mayo Night party attire posed for the photo above.  They were Geraldine & Romi, Ver & Ditas, DJ Nickie & Virgie, Joe & Nora, Roland & Irish, Mark & Rei, John & Fe, Eva & Dwayne, and Aida & Pete.  DJ Bing & Janet were also winners, but not in this photo. Josie and Evelyn donated prizes and were on the Prize Committee.

   You are invited to a CINCO DE MAYO (MEXICAN) DANCE PARTY at Lola Happy Bistro this coming Thursday April 30th, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, with the magnificent DJ Nickie Bascos, especially if you have some Cinco De Mayo attire.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, and food and beverages on display or off the menu (don't bring any food or beverages - you are urged to buy a dinner, even if you just take it home). DJ Nickie will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 9:30pm. Cinco de Mayo-attired dancers vie for prizes. A cool night with a possibility of light rain is currently forecast.

   You are invited to a FLOWER PRINTS DANCE PARTY at Lola Happy Bistro this coming Thursday April 2nd, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, with the marvelous DJ Bing Villafuerte, especially if you have some flowery (floral) attire.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, and food and beverages on display or off the menu (don't bring any food or beverages - you are urged to buy a dinner, even if you just take it home). DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 9:30pm. Flower print or floral-attired dancers vie for prizes. A mild and dry night is currently forecast.

A ST. PATRICK's DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, March 19, 2026, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a mild and dry night.   LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, Roland's Inspiring Dancers, in St. Patrick's party night attire, performed a new line dance called "ZIGGY" line dance ("I Wanna Dance With Somebody") ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gZ7Eqk-LIE ).  In the front line (by the audience) were Mary Jane, Irish and Lolit.  In the middle line it was Remy, Geraldine, Grace and Mayeth (partially hidden). In line by the stage it was Eva, Roland and Faith.  

 

 

  WINNING COUPLES in St. Patrick's party attire posed for the photo above.  They were DJ Nickie & Aurea, Joel & Rima, Remy & Chris, Irish & Roland, and Nora & Joe.  Ric & Connie, Romi & Geraldine, Robert & Rose (first timers), and Eva & Dwayne were also winners, but were not in this photo. Along with Edith as Chief Judge, Estrelle and Josie donated prizes.  Lydia and Josie handed out prizes. 

 WINNING SINGLES in St. Patrick's party attire posed for the photo above.  In this photo we see Beth, first-timer Irene, Luz, Teresa, Penny, Evelyn, Hermie, Karina, Minda, Nedy, Lolit, Mary Jane, Grace, Annie, Mayeth, Faith, Liz, May and Estrelle.  Leo was also a winner, but not in this photo.
