This Thursday night, January 12, 2017, let's dance at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, for JANUARY's BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY. Besides roses for ladies with January birthdays, there'll be cake, snacks and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation. Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The fabulous DJ Mel Zaragoza will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm.
DIRECTIONS: Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive. Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence.
Last Thursday, January 5, 2017, DJ Mel Zaragoza played at Eastlake for about 20 happy dancers, for the 1st Thursday night Eastlake dance of 2017. OK, not many dancers, but they were the All-Stars of Cheerfulness, so I had a great time, as you can see in the following 5 photos. THURSDAY JANUARY 5, 2017, at Eastlake:
THE FOOD LINE. Hungry dancers lined up for food about 7 o'clock. A big "THANK YOU" to people who brought food: Nick & Eden brought chili and crackers. Nedy brought arroz caldo. Beth brought salad. And, there was more.
LINE DANCING was off and on until 10pm. Above, dancers enjoyed one of the versions of "Blurred Lines" line dance.
BALLROOM. We guys preferred ballroom dancing. Above, Susie and DJ Mel danced to a lively swing dance.
SWING. Above, Daisy and Lito danced to the swing dance, too.
LINE DANCING to "Cumbia Semana", it was Lito, Edith and Beth in the front line in the photo above.

It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties. This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego. While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance. Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night cumbia dancing in Chula Vista.
