CHINESE NIGHT Dance Party at Eastlake This Thursday January 26, 2017

Hello Party Go-ers!   

  2 days before CHINESE NEW YEAR, it'll be a CHINESE NIGHT Dance Party this Thursday night Jan. 26th at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll be prizes for Best Attire, lots of fun, and snacks and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The incredible DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.   

DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence.

THURSDAY JANUARY 19, 2017, Dance Party at Eastlake:

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm-7pm, and off & on for the rest of the night.  Above, Nene and Nedy were in the front line practicing a relatively new one, "Que Maravilla (That's Me line dance)".

TIME TO EAT.  Romy gave the blessing, as dancers lined up for food - and there was a lot of food.  Here's a "Thank You", and some credits.  First-timers Marissa and Kathy brought pancit. Solly also brought pancit.  Romy & Josie brought the coffee & coffee maker.  Nedy brought arroz caldo.  Bert Alota & Suzanne brought papaya.  Eva brought a cake.  Elsie brought "Petite Palmiers".  And, there was more.

BALLROOM.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Mel (not the DJ, but the other Mel) danced with Nedy to a cha cha.

CHA CHA DANCERS.  Above, Ralph and Neriza also danced to the cha cha.

CHINESE NIGHT.  Elsie cannot make it this coming Thursday for Chinese Night, so she wore a beautiful Chinese attire to this dance, and she won Best Attire for the night.  In the photo above, I got to dance with Elsie to the boogie "Reet Petite".

Thursday, February 16, 2017:  DANCE PARTY in Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music is non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night cumbia dancing in San Diego.
