Hello Dancers,
Well, there will be NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday October 8th at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, because we reduced the schedule to have dances only for special events, usually every other week. So, come to the October Birthdays Dance Party on October 15th, especially if you have a birthday in October.
DIRECTIONS: Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

A POLKA DOT NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, October 1, 2026, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a mild and dry night. There were just over 60 in attendance, thanks in part to 13 first-timers. Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, some were copied from Facebooks.

The "JOYFUL DANCERS" PERFORMED, in the photo above, dancing to the song "Oohh Lala Baby" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M12F2FAf04g ). This was the first time that the "Joyful Dancers" performed in one of our Thursday Night Dances, and many of the dancers were 1st-timers at our Thursday Night Dances.
UPCOMING THURSDAY NIGHTS signs for Thursday nights at Lola Happy Bistro were held by "Ring Girls", all in polka dot attire, Luz, Elcie (a 1st-timer), Aida and Merely, in the photo above.
LINE DANCING was a favorite. In the photo above, Roland's Inspiring Dancers, in matching POLKA DOT attire, performed a line dance to "I'm Free Again" line dance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xotERRxd3Yg ). In this photo we see Roland and Eva closest to the stage. Jannet, Faye and Irish were in the middle line. Lolit (mostly hidden) and Merely were closest to the audience.
BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, Ruben was able to convince cashier Chriselle to dance with him to the swing "Sing My Song" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qy0GnnT9kME&t=13s ).
WINNING COUPLES in POLKA DOT Night party attire posed for the photo above. On the left in this photo we see prize committee and donors Lydia and Josie. And, we see the winning couples Willie & Merely, Nora & Joe, DJ Bing & Jannet, Faye & John, and Irish & Roland.

Elcie (a 1st-timer), Myrna, Estrelle, Ruben, Bert Alota, and Racquel were also winners, but not in this photo.

Thursday, October 29, 2026: HALLOWEEN Dance Party, especially if you have a costume, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://www.facebook.com/lolahappybistro (619) 434-7371). Costume-attired dancers vie for prizes. 6pm - 9:30pm. DJ Bing Villafuerte.
It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) This is the best Thursday night dance in the San Diego area -- a Thursday night at Lola Happy Bistro - a Thursday night dance in National City, with ballroom and line dances, Filipino dances, cha cha cha dancing and swing dancing on a Thursday night in San Diego. While the dancing and music will be non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free one-on-one ballroom and line dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
