BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday March 9, 2017

Hello Dancers!
This Thursday night, March 9, 2017, let's dance at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, at a MARCH's BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY.  Besides roses for ladies, and balloons for guys, with March birthdays, there'll be cake, snacks and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The fabulous DJ Mel Zaragoza will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm.

DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive. The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday, March 2, 2017, DJ Bing Villafuerte played at Eastlake for over 30 happy dancers, as you can see in the following 6 photos.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)

THURSDAY MARCH 2, 2017, Dance Party at Eastlake:

THE FOOD LINE.  Hungry dancers lined up for food about 7 o'clock.  A big "THANK YOU" to people who brought food.  I got some names:  Nick & Eden brought upo, mangoes and rice.  Beth brought corn. Ralph brought baked chicken.  Rei brought suman.  Joe & Nora brought 2 pound cakes.  Elsie brought Petite Palmiers and pineapple.  Eva brought an ice cream cake.  Bert Alota brought papaya.  And, there was more.

BALLROOM.  Line dancing was non-stop from 6 to 7, and off and on until 10pm, but we guys preferred ballroom dancing.  Above, Edith's visiting daughter Joanne danced with Bert Alota.

BOP TO BE.  Above, another of Edith's daughters, Valerie, danced with Jake to the boogie "Bop To Be".

CARINO MIO.  Above, Elsie and Ping danced to the rumba "Carino Mio".

BETH let me dance with her, also to the rumba "Carino Mio".

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dwayne, who was surrounded by well-wishers in the photo above while he held his "Happy Birthday" ice cream cake.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is probably the best Thursday night dance in San Diego.  While the dancing and music is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing makes this, for example, the best Thursday night dancing in San Diego.

(2)  You can click on Links to YouTube MUSIC VIDEOS and other websites that are mentioned in this email (the links are colored like this of "Carino Mio").  You can get more info at websites like: this email group's Home Page and Upcoming Events.

(3)  If you do NOT want these weekly emails anymore, you can "unsubscribe" by e-mailing or calling me (619-224-3095).
