Hi Again Dancers!
Let's have fun & merriment at the Dance Party this Thursday night March 2nd at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing and snacks and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation. Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The wonderful DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.
DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive. Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive. The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.
Last Thursday (Feb. 23rd) was the MARDI GRAS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, featuring beads, beer, bright colors and beautiful ladies. Thanks in part to another visit by the Mira Mesa BFF Dancers, and more first-timers, there were about 40 happy dancers who enjoyed dancing to DJ Mel's music. There was a lot of fun things happening, as you can see in the 7 photos below. (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are. THURSDAY FEBRUARY 23, 2017, MARDI GRAS Dance Party at Eastlake:
FOOD LINE. Nina gave a blessing for a big spread of food. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits. Nick & Eden brought picadillo and ribeye beef steak. Beth brought grapes & watermelon. Ralph brought baked chicken, I think. Rei brought chips & crackers and a 7-layer dip platter. Nene brought multi-colored puto. Nedy brought pancit. Joe & Nora brought 2 large pizzas. And, there was more.
LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night. Above, Nedy, Edith and Nora were in the front line for a long-running favorite, "Bachata Risma".
BALLROOM DANCING. There was plenty of line dancing off and on all evening. But, we guys preferred the ballroom dances. Above, Nene danced with Jake who was back from the Philippines. They were dancing to "Chiquitita" bachata in the photo above.
MARDI GRAS attire was on full display in the photo above, featuring Medy, Dolores, Rei, Nedy, Nene and Marilyn.
CHA CHA. Above, Bing and Rima danced a cha cha.
MIRA MESA BFF DANCERS Aurora and Aurea danced to "Honky Tonk Twist" in the photo above. During the night, Nickie Bascos and the Mira Mesa BFF Dancers demonstrated a couple of line dances, including "Touch By Touch".
MARDI GRAS NIGHT BEST ATTIRE WINNERS. Winners, all looking great: Nickie, Marilyn, Jake, Nene, Dwayne, Eva, Eden, Nick, Rima, Rei, judge Nina, and DJ Mel.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties. This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance. Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night bachata dancing in San Diego.
