MARDI GRAS DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday February 23, 2017

Let's Celebrate!

It'll be MARDI GRAS DANCE PARTY NIGHT in Eastlake this Thursday night Feb. 23rd at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  It'll be beads, beer & bright colors.  There'll be prizes for Best Attire, lots of fun, and snacks and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The marvelous DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.

DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday (Feb. 16th) at the Eastlake Dance Party, DJ Bing played for about 25 happy dancers, as you can see in the 5 photos below.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 16, 2017, Dance Party at Eastlake:

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm-7pm, and off & on for the rest of the night.  Above, practicing for Mardi Gras Night, dancing to "Feeling Hot", it was Nina in front, with Edith, Dolores and Rei in the line behind her.

THE FOOD LINE.  Nina gave the blessing for the food.  Here's a "Thank You", and some credits.  Nick & Eden brought chicken apretada and rice.  Beth brought watermelon.  Ralph brought baked chicken.  Rei brought fruit.  And, there was more.

BALLROOM.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  We welcomed Jenny back.  Above, Jenny was dancing with Mel.

SWING.  Above, Belen was dancing with Carlos to "How Will I Know".

BUSY MEL danced with Medy in the photo above, also to "How Will I Know".

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music is non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night line dancing in San Diego.
