Dance Party at Eastlake This Thursday February 16, 2017

Hi There, Dancers!   

  It'll be more fun & frolic at the Dance Party this Thursday night Feb. 16th at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll be lots of dancing and snacks and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The miraculous DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.   
DIRECTIONS:  Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence. 


Last Thursday (Feb. 9th) was the VALENTINES & BIRTHDAYS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake.  Thanks in part to the visiting Mira Mesa BFF Dancers and some first-timers, there were 45 happy dancers who enjoyed dancing to DJ Mel's music.  There was a lot of fun things happening, as you can see in the 9 photos below.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)


THURSDAY FEBRUARY 9, 2017, VALENTINES Dance Party at Eastlake:

LOVELY LADIES by the LAKE.  Vicky, Edith, Susie & Nene looked great, just after sunset by Eastlake.

DJ MEL ZARAGOZA was up & running at 6pm, with a big banner for the "VALENTINE & BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION".

BALLROOM DANCING.  There was plenty of line dancing off and on all evening.   But, we guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Aurora & Nickie, who were back at Eastlake after many months, danced to "Lady In Red" in the photo above. 

VALENTINE NIGHT BEST ATTIRE WINNERS.  They were looking good!!!  Winners:  Romy (the Avocado Man) & Marilyn, Neriza, Edith R, Nene, Nora, and the 2 judges, Nina & Edith D.

AVOCADO FRENZY.  Romy, the Avocado Man, brought a crate of fresh avocados into the room.  After Nina announced that people could take some, an avocado grab fest occurred for about 60 seconds.

ROMY, San Diego's Filipino Elvis, serenaded the ladies with "Love Story".

MIRA MESA BFF DANCERS, led by Nickie Bascos, were at Eastlake.  Above, they demonstrated a couple line dances including "Let Me Be There"., with Beth and Pat in the front line.

FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS were celebrated, and we only found me and Fe with February birthdays.

Thursday, March 9, 2017:  MARCH BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY in Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.   DJ Mel Zaragoza.



  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night hustle dancing in San Diego.
