YES - Dance at Eastlake This Thursday December 1, 2016 + FLASHBACK Photos from Years Gone Bye

Hello Dancers!   
  LET'S DANCE this Thursday night Dec. 1st at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll be snacks and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The phenomenal DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm. 
DIRECTIONS for Dec 1st:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence. 

 Last Thursday (Thanksgiving) there was no dance at Eastlake.  But, I dug through the archives to find six interesting photos from mid-week dancing from the past few years.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)

FLASHBACK PHOTOS, 2010-2015:  

2010 - LUCKY STAR:  After Jestoni Club closed in 2010, there was mid-week dancing in the luxurious Lucky Star.  Above, line dancing to "September", it was Edith, Zeny, Divine and Angie in the front line.  It was Dec. 1, 2010.

2011 - POINT POINT JOINT opened to Thursday night dancing in 2011.  Above, Jona, Edith, Ginnie and Rima joyously danced in Point Point Joint on Dec. 1, 2011.

2012 - LUCKY STAR.  After a period of no mid-week dancing, the luxurious Lucky Star re-started its mid-week nighttime dancing again, this time featuring DJ Jun Ancho.  Above, dancing to "Rumba Samba Mambo", it was Cesar, Jona and Ly in the front line on Dec. 5, 2012.

2013 - POINT POINT JOINT kept its mid-week night dances running for years.  Above, line dancers were having fun in the Joint on Nov. 26, 2013.

2014 - POINT POINT JOINT.  Above, dancers enjoyed the "waltz line dance" in the Joint on Dec. 11, 2014.

2015 - FOUR POINTS by Sheraton was the home of Thursday night dancing late last year after Point Point Joint went out of business.  Above, dancers gathered for a group photo on Dec. 3, 2015 in Four Points.

Thursday, December 8, 2016:  BIRTHDAY NIGHT Dance Party in Eastlake, with roses & balloons for December birthday celebrants, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


Thursday, December 15, 2016.  No dance at Eastlake due to another event there.  But, we are considering a one-night stand at the Eagles club, 1131 Roosevelt Avenue, National City.


Thursday, December 22, 2016:  CHRISTMAS DANCE PARTY in Eastlake, with a big Christmas dinner beginning at 6pm.  6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Mel Zaragoza.


Thursday, December 29, 2016:  NEW YEARS DANCE PARTY and MASQUERADE BALL in Eastlake.  6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Mel Zaragoza.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music is non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night swing dancing in Chula Vista.
