BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday December 8, 2016

Hello Dancers!  
  This Thursday night, December 8, 2016, let's dance at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, for DECEMBER's BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY.  Besides roses for ladies with December birthdays, there'll be snacks and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The incredible DJ Bing Villafuerte will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm.  
DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence.

THURSDAY DECEMBER 1, 2016, at Eastlake:

AFRICA BOOM BOOM line dance, part of the non stop line dancing from 6 until 7pm, had Beth, Myrna and Bing in the front line in the photo above.  I love the "Africa Boom Boom" song.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse already had Christmas decorations up. 

THE FOOD LINE.  After an hour of line dancing, dancers were hungry.  A big "THANK YOU" to people who brought food:  Nick & Eden brought champorado.  Ralph brought lasagna.  DJ Mel brought potato salad.  Nedy brought sliced oranges.  Beth brought watermelon.  And, there was a lot more.  (I hope I got the credits right.)

SELFIES.  Nedy and some others took a million selfies Thursday night.  I liked the one above on Nedy's Facebook.  The photo features Myrna, Nora, Nedy, Neriza and Beth.

BALLROOM.  We guys preferred ballroom dancing.  Above, I was fortunate to get to dance with Nora to something called "Vamos A Bailar".

IT'S A TOUGH JOB!  Being a DJ can be very stressful.  Luckily, DJ Mel had two things to reduce his anxiety:  Susie and Budweiser.

GROUP PHOTO.  After a long night of dancing, many of those remaining got cozy for a group photo by the DJ's table.

Thursday, December 15, 2016:  NO DANCE.  The Eastlake Clubhouse will be used by another group on that night.


Thursday, December 22, 2016:  CHRISTMAS PARTY DANCE in Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Mel Zaragoza.


Thursday, December 29, 2016:   NEW YEARS DANCE PARTY In Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Mel Zaragoza.


Thursday, January 5, 2017:  DANCE PARTY in Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Mel Zaragoza.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night cumber dancing in Chula Vista.
