NO Dance Party at Eastlake This Thursday November 24, 2016 + WESTERN NIGHT Photos from Nov 17th

Hi Dancers! Happy Thanksgiving!  
  Have a fun & safe Turkey Day! NO DANCE this Thursday, but please plan on returning to dance at Eastlake Shores on Thursday December 1st, when DJ Mel Zaragoza will play the music. 
DIRECTIONS for Dec 1st:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right into 2050 Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence.

COWBOY & WESTERN NIGHT, THURSDAY NOVEMBER 17, 2016, at Eastlake:

LINE DANCING was non stop from 6 until 7pm, and then intermittently until 10.  Above, DJ Bing was teaching line dancers a new one, "Si Tu Me Vas", with Edith, Eden, Rei and 1st-timer Elma in the front line. 

COWGIRLS & COWBOYS LINED UP FOR CHOW.  After a lot of line dancing, the cowgirls and cowboys were ready to eat the abundant chow.  A big "THANK YOU" to people who brought food:  Nick & Eden brought chili and hot dogs.  Ofelia brought ham & turkey sandwiches.  Nina & Rei brought pancit puso.  Beth brought sliced oranges.  Angel brought puto.  Nene & Jake brought coffee jelly.  Nora & Joe brought maruya.  Cet & Remi brought brownies.  Connie brought cookies.  Romy & Marilyn brought a BIG box of fresh persimmons!! And, there was a lot more.  (I hope I got the credits right.)

BALLROOM.  We guys preferred ballroom dancing.  Above, we see cowboy Lito and cowgirl Neriza were dancing to "Blue Tango". 

WESTERN WALTZ.  There were lots of good country songs to dance to, including "Waltz Across Texas", which Marilyn & Romy danced to in the photo above.

Thursday, December 8, 2016:  BIRTHDAY NIGHT Dance Party in Eastlake, with roses & balloons for December birthday celebrants, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


Thursday, December 15, 2016.  No dance at Eastlake due to another event there.  But, we are looking for an alternate place.


Thursday, December 22, 2016:  CHRISTMAS DANCE PARTY in Eastlake, with a big Christmas dinner beginning at 6pm.  6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Mel Zaragoza.


Thursday, December 29, 2016:  NEW YEARS DANCE PARTY and MASQUERADE BALL in Eastlake.  6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Mel Zaragoza.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music is non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night rumba dancing lessons in San Diego.
