EASTLAKE DANCE PARTY This Thursday October 6, 2016

Hi Happy Dancers,
Let's have a fun dance party again at Eastlake this coming Thursday night, October 6, 2016.  There'll be snacks and beverages.  A $5 donation will be requested.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The spectacular DJ Mel Zaragoza will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm.
DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence.

Last Thursday, September 29, 2016, DJ Bing Villafuerte played for about 40 STRIPES NIGHT dancers in Eastlake, as you can see in the following 6 photos.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 29, 2016, STRIPES NIGHT Dance Party at Eastlake:

LINE DANCING was non stop from 6 until 7pm.  Above, dancers were dancing to  relatively new steps to the memorable "Unchained Melody", with Edith front and center.

WHAT A LINE UP !!  The ladies looked fabulous, lined up for plenty of great food. Many wore striped clothing. As for the food, Nick & Eden brought barbecued food and fried rice.  Josie brought macaroni salad.  Gino & Edith R brought cottage cheese.  Rudy brought cheesecake.  Elsie and Nita brought various fruits. And, there was a lot more.

SALSA.  Myrna and Lito looked very comfortable dancing to "Ran Kan Kan".

CHA CHA, I think, was what  Mel Zaragoza danced with Josie in the photo above.

STRIPES NIGHT WINNERS.  There was a lot of nice-looking stripes at the party.  I think you know their names.  Well wait - winner Nitz, third from the right, was only a 2nd-timer to these Thursday night dances.

HANDS UP.  I was fortunate to dance with Vicky to a favorite of mine, "Hands Up".  I bought a record of "Hands Up" in a Manila record store in 1982.

Here's the plan for the next few weeks for Thursday night dances:

Thursday, October 6, 2016:  Dance Party in Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Mel Zaragoza.

Thursday, October 13, 2016:  BIRTHDAY NIGHT Dance Party in Eastlake, celebrating birthdays of dancers born in October with roses, balloons and cake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.

Thursday, October 20, 2016:  Dance Party in Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Mel Zaragoza.

Thursday, October 27, 2016:  HALLOWEEN COSTUME NIGHT Dance Party in Eastlake with prizes for best Attire, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.

It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

Hoping to see you on the dance floor,

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instruction while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night rumba dancing in San Diego.

(2)  You can click on Links to YouTube MUSIC VIDEOS and other websites that are mentioned in this email (the links are colored like this of "Hands Up").  You can get more info at websites like: this email group's Home Page and Upcoming Events.

(3)  If you do NOT want these weekly emails anymore, you can "unsubscribe" by e-mailing or calling me (619-224-3095).
