DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday November 3, 2016

Hello Dancers!
It'll be another great Dance Party this Thursday night, November 3, 2016, at Eastlake Shores.  There'll be snacks and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The fabulous DJ Mel Zaragoza will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm.
DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence.

Last Thursday, October 27, 2016, was the HALLOWEEN DANCE PARTY with DJ Bing Villafuerte playing at Eastlake for about 50 joyous dancers - thanks in part to a carload of RMX dancers from North County - the following 10 photos show some of the fun.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)

THURSDAY OCTOBER 27, 2016, HALLOWEEN DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

BY THE LAKE.  Above, posing by Eastlake, we see Edith in "Spanish Senorita" costume and Myrna in "Spider Woman" costume - Myrna was a prize winner later in the night.  With Daylight Saving Time ending next Sunday, this week will be the last time this year that early birds to the dance can get nice lakeside photos.

YUMMY FOOD !!  Dancers patiently waited for food.  A big "THANK YOU" to people who brought food (if my notes are right):  Nick & Eden brought fried sardines and upo with shrimp and small clams.  Ralph brought baked chicken.  Beth brought salad.  Jake brought leche flan.  Nene brought cupcakes.  Mel brought kiwi fruit.  There was brown rice and a lot more.

LINE DANCING was non stop from 6 until 7pm.  Above, dancers were line dancing to "Quiereme Mucho", with Eden and Nick in the front line.

BALLROOM Dancing.  We guys preferred ballroom dancing.  In the photo above, it was Jake and Nene dancing.

RMX DANCERS, well, at least two of them, Arnie and Aurora were dancing ballroom dances.

MARIA & ROYCE came to the party in elegant attire - except for Royce's nose.

BORRACHO Y LOCO.  That's right!  It was a very rowdy rendition of "Bachata Risma", as you can see in the photo above.

WINNERS - there were lots, most holding their prizes above.  Left to right:  DJ Mel Zaragoza said he was a "Spanish Gentleman", but he looked more like Zorro to me.  Nene was a lovely Red Devil from what I can tell, with her little red horns. Jake was a top-hatted gentleman.  Vicky was a ballet dancer or ballerina.  Nedy was an Octopus.  Two prize awarding officials - Edith was a "Spanish Senorita", and Nina was Nina.  Eva came as the Filipina rock singer Sampaguita who, among other songs, was known for the song called "Magsayawan".  Rima came as a Twenties Flapper Dancer.  Winner Myrna as Spider Woman is in the photo at the top.

NEDY THE OCTOPUS.  Yes, Nedy's "Octopus" was a unique costume.

NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL TANGO !!   Rima and Arnie enjoyed dancing to "Tango De Milo" in the photo above.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday salsa dancing lessons in San Diego.

(2)  You can click on Links to YouTube MUSIC VIDEOS and other websites that are mentioned in this email (the links are colored like this of "Tango De Milo").  You can get more info at websites like: this email group's Home Page and Upcoming Events.

(3)  If you do NOT want these weekly emails anymore, you can "unsubscribe" by e-mailing or calling me (619-224-3095).
