SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS Night Dance This Thursday Night in Eastlake - July 7, 2016

Hello Dancers,  
  It'll be a SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS Dance Party this Thursday night, July 7, 2016. back at the Eastlake Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with some prizes for best attire.  There'll be snacks and beverages.  A $5 donation will be requested.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  DJ Bing will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm.  DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence.

THURSDAY JUNE 30, 2016, RED, WHITE & BLUE NIGHT at Old Town Community Church, San Diego:

LADIES IN RED.  LINE DANCING was was non-stop from 6pm-7pm, then periodically until 10pm.  Above, in the front line for "Muerdeme" were four ladies in red:  Emelie, Edith, Myrna and Estrelle.  In the 2nd line it was Lou and Nitz.  Later, Emelie and Edith were judges for the Best Attire contest, and Lou was one of the winners.

BALLROOM.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Nitz and Sonny were dancing to the bachata "Loco".

RED, WHITE & BLUE.  Above, Neriza was dancing with Tito to "Bailando".  Tito was one of the Best Attire winners.

BOOGIE.  Above, Eden and DJ Jun Ancho were dancing to "Love Shack". 
    Eden and Nick had brought FOOD - dinuguan.  Tito and Gloria had brought fried rice.  Also, there were hot dogs, canned peaches for dessert, and lots more food. 

RED, WHITE & BLUE WINNERS.  Gloria & Tito (in big hats) won the Grand Prize.  Elma & Lito won a Couples Prize.  Individual Best Attire winners were Jamila, Dolores, Lou and Nick.

DR. NATALIE MEDINA and some staff set up a free testing station in the next room to measure blood pressure, pulse, BMI and oxygen levels of the dancers. Many, including me got tested. Dr. Medina's office is at 502 S. Euclid Avenue in National City, where she treats patients and where the office speaks English, Spanish and Tagalog.

  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best free line dance lessons in Chula Vista.
