HAWAIIAN Night Dance Party This Thursday Night in Eastlake - July 14, 2016

Yes Indeed Dancers,  
  The ladies have another theme for this week:  HAWAIIAN NIGHT Dance Party this Thursday night, July 14, 2016. in the Eastlake Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with some prizes for best attire.  There'll be snacks and beverages.  A $5 donation will be requested.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  DJ Bing will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm.  DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence.

THURSDAY JULY 7, 2016, SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS NIGHT at Eastlake I Clubhouse:

FOOD.  Wow!  Was there ever a lot!  Above, Myrna & Maria are in front, with  Gilda, Edith, Neriza and Nedy right behind them, all lined up for food.  Nick & Eden brought lots of taco salad; Beth brought puto bumbong; Susie brought pancit; Royce & Maria brought Hawaiian meat balls; Nene brought rice crispies dessert; and there was a lot more. 

LOVELY LADIES BY THE LAKE.  There were multiple photo sessions by the lake.  Above was one, with Nedy, Myrna, Daisy, Nina, Eden & Nene, all in their Animal Prints outfits.

BALLROOM.  There were lots of line dances, but we guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Nene and Mel (not DJ Mel, but the other Mel) were dancing to a rumba.  I think Mel with his shirt & tie was the night's safari manager.

SAFARI SUNSET.  Above, Nick and Eden were dancing to a boogie or something at sunset.

AFRICA BOOM BOOM.   LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm-7pm, then periodically until 10pm.  Above, dancing in the front line to an appropriate line dance for Safari Night, "Africa Boom Boom", it was Nedy and Beth.

ANIMAL PRINTS WINNERS.  Nick & Eden won the Best Couple prize, and Nene won Best Single prize. Judges had tough choices for the rest - the ladies all looked good.  Myrna, Josie and Romy won prizes. 

WAIT!    Rima & Jamila & Joel, above, came in during the awards ceremony.  Judges scampered to give them a prize, too, for their matching outfits.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUSIE!  Above, Susie was blowing out candles an her birthday cake, while we sang "Happy Birthday" to her.

CHA CHA.  Above, Lito and Neriza looked good dancing to the cha cha "Boca Dulce Boca".

  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best free line dancing lessons in Chula Vista.
