Hello Dancers,
The party goes back to Eastlake for Cinco De Mayo this Thursday May 5th, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista 91913. There'll be snacks, beverages, and prizes. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation. Dancers are welcome to bring a dish to share. DJ Bing will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm. DIRECTIONS: Take the H Street East to Eastlake Drive. Go right one block and turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the clubhouse is beyond the white gate.
CINCO DE MAYO DANCE PARTY at Eastlake 1 Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.
OLD TOWN DANCE PARTY. Last Thursday was a Dance Party at Old Town Community Church, 2444 Congress Street, San Diego (first time there for this group, due to Eastlake being used by another group). DJ Bing played for about 35 dancers, many of them having spent some time looking around Old Town before the dance. The nine photos below show part of the fun night. (Note: If the following 9 photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):
LAST THURSDAY APRIL 28, 2016, AT OLD TOWN COMMUNITY CHURCH, SAN DIEGO:
LINE DANCING was very popular, including the cute one above, "Africa Boom Boom". Nedy, DJ Bing and Belen were in the front line.
FOOD. Once again there was plenty of FOOD. Above, Rei and Ruben were getting some. Let's see if I get the credits right. Edith brought in kung pao & fried chicken and fried rice, Nina & Friends brought suman & bibingka, Angelina brought chicken macaroni soup, and Nora brought pound cake.
SNACKS & DESSERTS. Above, Tess, Gigi and Nedy were at the snacks & desserts counter.
CHA CHA. There were plenty of ballroom dances. Above, dancing cha cha to "Aguardiente", it was Myrna and Neriza.
GROUP PHOTO. There were millions of pictures taken during the night. About 8 o'clock many dancers went out into the courtyard for a group photo.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DJ Bing and Gloria, even though Gloria's birthday was in March (oops!). Above, they got ready to blow out candles on cakes.
BALLROOM. We guys preferred ballroom dances. Above, Lou and Tito were dancing to something called "Cha Charanga".
DANCING joyously to "Love Song": Neriza, Lou, Medy, Nanette, Celia, Rei, Gigi and Belen.
LINE DANCING to "Take Me Away", it was Edith and Nedy in the front line, sort of.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties. This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego. While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance. Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best free cha cha dancing lessons in San Diego.
