Dance Again at Eastlake This Thursday May 19, 2016

Hi Again Dancers,  

  It'll be another fun dance party at Eastlake's "Beachside Clubhouse" this Thursday May 19th, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista 91913.  There'll be snacks and beverages.  A $5 donation will be requested.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  DJ Bing will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm.  DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street East to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the clubhouse is behind the the gated fence.

THURSDAY MAY 12, 2016, AT EASTLAKE 1, 2050 LAKESHORE DRIVE, CHULA VISTA

FOOD.  Lots! Who's in photo?  I know four:  Aida, Myrna, Tess, and Nora.  I made a few notes about who brought what.  Belen: arroz caldo.  Nene & Jake:  alfredo pasta.  Gigi:  puto.  Rei brought spaghetti as did Nick & Eden. 

LINE DANCING was was non-stop from 6pm-7pm.  Then, periodically until 10pm.  Above they were dancing to "They Don't Care About Us". 

BALLROOM.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, I got to dance with Aurora, to the cumbia "Carino Mio", I think.

LINE DANCING again, this time it was "Uptown Funk".  Above, it was Aurea, Tess and Nickie in the front line.

HAVING FUN dancing to "Africa Boom Boom", it was (I think) Vangie, Aurora, Aurea, Hermie, Edith and Nora.

Thursday, June 2, 2016:   Dancing 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake 1 lakeside clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


Thursday, June 9, 2016:   FILIPINO NIGHT. Dancing 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake 1 lakeside clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best free swing dancing lessons in San Diego.
