THE FOOD LINE. Hungry dancers lined up for food about 7 o'clock. A big "THANK YOU" to people who brought food: Nick & Eden brought chili and crackers. Nedy brought arroz caldo. Beth brought salad. And, there was more.
LINE DANCING was off and on until 10pm. Above, dancers enjoyed one of the versions of "Blurred Lines" line dance.
BALLROOM. We guys preferred ballroom dancing. Above, Susie and DJ Mel danced to a lively swing dance.

ROMY BROUGHT COFFEE. Well, among several firsts for the night - - - Romy brought a coffee maker and coffee, and in the photo above, he was showing the set-up to Myrna.

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm until 7pm, and intermittently after that. Above, DJ Mel is in the front line with Emma dancing "Come Dance With Me".
NEW YEAR'S DINNER LINE-UP. Dancers lined up for food - and there was a lot of food. Too much for me to remember all the credits - Nick & Eden brought corned beef, hashed browns, scrambled eggs, champorado, and sausages. Emelie brought cookies & cake. Beth brought sliced oranges and boiled corn. Joe brought THREE PIZZAS!! Jake brought leche flan. Rei & Belen brought puto pao and sweet ube. Edith R brought maruya and fried rice. Aida brought chips. Nita brought pan de sal. And, there was more.
DANCE EXHIBITION. Visiting dance instructors from New York City came to the party, and gave us a fabulous dance exhibition of an East Coast Swing, and in the photo above, a slow dance to "Yesterday". The young lady was Mae Lozada, who, among other successes, was a dance finalist on "Pilipinas Got Talent" TV show on the Philippines' ABS-CBN network in 2010, as you can see in this YouTube video. The young man above is Kristian Sese, who has several YouTube videos of his own. Kristian is the son of Aida, who came to the party with Mae and Kristian and Aida's daughter Yvonne. Mae & Kristian also have this YouTube video of them dancing in New York.
SAN DIEGO'S FILIPINO ELVIS (aka Romy) also performed for us. In the photo above, he was singing "Great Balls Of Fire" with back-up dancers Myrna, Neriza, Suzanne and Eva.

CHRISTMAS DINNER LINE-UP.Romy gave the blessing. If you think the photo looks odd, it's because I had to paste 2 photos together to get the whole line.
THE FOOD was fabulous. Too much for me to get all credits - Nick & Eden brought turkey & ham & clam chowder & scalloped potatoes & sweet potatoes & green beans & melon balls. Emelie brought cookies & dessert. Beth brought a banana dessert & watermelon. And, there was more. Emil Buencamino took the photo above. Emil, who operated a Photo Booth during the dance, posted the photo above and about 50 other photos from the Dance on his website (When you're there, click on "Gallery", then "Thursday Dance @ Eastlake", then click on a photo to activate the slide show).
RUMBA. We guys preferred the ballroom dances. Above, Eva and Dwayne danced to the rumba "Quien Sabe".
LINE DANCES were abundant, including non-stop from 6pm-7pm. Later on, the long-running favorite "Caballero" packed the floor.
PHOTO FRENZY erupted when "Caballero" dancers saw us taking their picture, sort of prematurely ending that line dance.
WINNERS of the Best Attire Contest lined up with their prizes. Dwayne, Eva, Neriza, Rei, Eden, judge Edith, Josie, Jona, Marilyn, Nene, Myrna and Bert Alota.
KISS UNDER THE MISTLETOE. A few of us managed to get a kiss under the Christmas Mistletoe, including Joel and Rima in the photo above, with mistletoe hanging over their heads.
GROUP PHOTO. Most of the dancers who were in Eastlake at quitting time got together for a group photo, above.
LOST & FOUND. The clean-up folks found the bifocal glasses that are in the photo above. If you know whose glasses were left at Eastlake, give me a call - I have them. AFRICA BOOM BOOM line dance, part of the non stop line dancing from 6 until 7pm, had Beth, Myrna and Bing in the front line in the photo above. I love the "Africa Boom Boom" song. The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse already had Christmas decorations up.

DJ Bing Villafuerte. Thursday, December 15, 2016: NO DANCE. The Eastlake Clubhouse will be used by another group on that night. Thursday, December 22, 2016: CHRISTMAS PARTY DANCE in Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. DJ Mel Zaragoza.
