50's & 60's DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday October 24, 2019

Hello Dancers,   

 You are invited to a 50's & 60's NIGHT DANCE PARTY this Thursday October 24, 2019, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, beverages, and prizes for best 50's & 60's attire. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The great DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm. 

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday (October 17th) was a great DANCE PARTY at Eastlake.  Thanks in part to some first-timers, there were about 35 dancers enjoying the music of DJ Mel Zaragoza, as you can see in the 5 photos below.

THURSDAY October 17, 2019, DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

BY THE LAKE, some early birds posed.  Above, we see Bing, Estrelle, Belen, Rei, Karina, Minda, Pat and Rick. 

GROUP PHOTO BEFORE FOOD. Dancers posed for the photo above before eating. Here is a big "THANK YOU" to people who brought delicious food.  Nedy brought salad. Mel Paiste brought sotanghon with patela and shrimp.  Nick & Eden brought spaghetti & meat balls and garlic bread. Karina brought cassava cake. Connie & Rick brought tuna salad sandwiches. Jovie brought chicken dumplings. Rosie brought banana bread.  Estrelle brought fried rice and cheese pimento sandwiches. Rosa brought baked chicken and cookies. Bert & Lennie Velasco brought dinuguan.  Minda brought hopla munggo and haba habula.  Rei brought salad. And, there was more.

BALLROOM and DANCING alternated until 10pm.  In the photo above, Phil and Elma were dancing to the swing, "All Night Long (D.I.S.C.O.)".  Phil, who is also a dance instructor, gave West Coast Swing lessons to dancers early in the night. 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Belen. In the photo above copied from Nedy's Facebook, Nina and Rei had surprised Belen with a cake.  Then, everyone sang Happy Birthday for Belen.

Thursday, November 14, 2019: NOVEMBER BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913, with roses for birthday ladies, balloons and cake. DJ Bing Villafuerte.



  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
