NO DANCE at Eastlake This Thursday December 13, 2018 (someone else will be there)

Hello Dancers,   

  Enjoy a Thursday night at home, because there's NO dance at Eastlake this Thursday December 13, 2018 - another Eastlake group reserved the Clubhouse.  But, don't forget to come back the following Thursday, December 20th, for Christmas Party Night with music by DJ Mel Zaragoza.  

Last Thursday (December 6th) was a rainy night - DECEMBER BIRTHDAY PARTY NIGHT DANCE at Eastlake.  Thankfully many regulars made it through high water to get to Eastlake.  There were only 16 dancers enjoying the music of DJ Bing Villafuerte, as you can see in the 5 photos below.

THURSDAY DECEMBER 6, 2018, BIRTHDAY PARTY DANCE NIGHT at Eastlake:

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm - 7pm, then off & on until closing time.  Above, they were dancing to "Mamita Mia" line dance, which has been around for a few years. It was Edith, Nedy and Eden in the front line.

FOOD TIME. Dancers posed for a photo before eating.  Here's a "Thank You", and some credits for very delicious food. Nick & Eden brought corned beef, vegetables, and fried rice. Rei and Belen brought salad and suman. Mel Paiste brought chicken pinola. Geraldine brought spaghetti. Estrelle brought chicken salad sandwiches and pancit.   And, there was more.

BALLROOM.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances. Above, Romi and Geraldine were enjoying the salsa "Ave Maria Lola".

EDITH RILLAMAS was a December birthday celebrant. She recently passed away. Dancers had a mini-memorial in her honor.

ESTRELLE'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION.  Friends gathered around Estrelle to congratulate her and sing "Happy Birthday" - Belen, Nedy, Debbie, Eden, Geraldine, Rei and Nina.

Thursday, December 27, 2018:  NEW YEARS MASQUERADE DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  Prizes for best attire. DJ Nickie Bascos.


Thursday, January 3, 2019.  DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. DJ Mel Zaragoza. 


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
