FLOWER PRINTS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday April 19, 2018

Hello Dancers,   

 You are invited to a FLOWER PRINTS NIGHT DANCE PARTY this Thursday April 19, 2018, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be prizes for best flower prints attire, lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The adorable DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday (April 12th) was APRIL BIRTHDAYS PARTY DANCE NIGHT at Eastlake.  Thanks in part to Jun Ancho's Circle of Frenz, some dancers from Tooma Park Seniors, about 4 1st-timers, and many returning dancers, there were over 60 dancers having fun, as you can see in the 6 photos below.

THURSDAY APRIL 12, 2018, APRIL BIRTHDAYS PARTY DANCE NIGHT at Eastlake:

LOVELY LADIES BY THE LAKE.  Early in the evening, enjoying the great weather and Daylight Saving Time, it was Edith, Florita and Eden by the lake, in the photo above.  Florita was visiting from the Philippines, where she lives in Cebu and Bacolod.

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm - 7pm. Above, dancing to the relatively new "Woman Is Smarter", Edith and Nedy were in the front line.    (Musical Trivia Note:  If you listen closely at the start of the "Woman Is Smarter" on YouTube, you can hear the singer, Dr. Victor, say "Last time I was singing about ugly women. But, you know what, power to the women, they are the real players." Dr. Victor was referring to his previous line dance hit, "If You Wanna Be Happy -- get an ugly girl to marry you.")

FOOD TIME. Dancers posed for a photo before eating.  Here's a "Thank You", and some credits for very delicious food. Nick & Eden brought upo, mongo & rice. Beth brought pancit. Geraldine brought gelatin dessert. Medy brought paksiw lechon & rice. Mel Paiste brought seaweed salad. Chito brought baked salmon. Karina brought lechon liento. Emelie brought ensaymada and hopia dessert. Lou brought ginataan dessert. Estrelle brought spaghetti. Marilyn brought dessert.  Carmen brought ginataan dessert. And, there was more.

SELFIES were taken by the dozen.  Above, Ralph, Neriza and Nedy were in one, while dancers filled the dance floor behind them. Nedy also posted about 80 new photos in Nedy's Facebook. And, you can see many more photos and videos in the "EastLake Shore Thursday Dance Group" Facebook Group. Any of that group's members can add new members, e.g., me, Geraldine or Nina.

Thursday, May 10, 2018:  BIRTHDAY PARTY for May celebrants at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Roses and balloons for celebrants. DJ Bing Villafuerte.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
