DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday April 26, 2018

Hello Dancers,   

 You are invited to a dance party this Thursday April 26, 2018, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The spectercular DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm. 

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday (April 19th) was FLOWER PRINTS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake.  Thanks in part to 8 1st-timers, dancers from Tooma Park Seniors, and about 8 dancers who hadn't been to Thursday night dancing since Point Point Joint, there were 55 dancers having fun, as you can see in the 6 photos below.

THURSDAY APRIL 19, 2018, FLOWER PRINTS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

LOVELY LADIES BY THE LAKE.  Early in the evening, enjoying the great weather, it was Florita, Lou, Nene, Edith, and Victoria by the lake, in the photo above.

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm - 7pm. Above, dancing to the relatively new "Sweet Caroline", Florita and Edith were in the front line.  

FOOD TIME. Dancers posed for a photo before eating.  Here's a "Thank You", and some credits for very delicious food. Nick & Eden brought chili and rice. Beth brought pancit. Geraldine brought chocolate cupcakes. Mel Paiste brought seaweed salad and bamboo shoots. Karina brought taro roll. Lou brought chicken pasta. Ralph brought baked chicken. Pat brought dessert. Dolly brought a casserole.  Edith R brought bibingka. Sheila brought cantaloupe.  Nedy brought corn.  And, there was more.

BALLROOM.  We guys preferred ballroom dances.  Above it was Ernie and Heidi, in their first time at Thursday night at Eastlake, dancing a cha cha, I think.

FLOWER PRINTS NIGHT Winners of the Best Attire Contest.  Above, it was Neriza, Divine, Pat, Lou, Cindy, Elma, Edith R, and Judge Edith D.  Ruben donated the potted flowers that Pat won.

SHEILA, sorry!!  I cut you off in the previous photo.  Yes, you were a Flower Prints prize winner!  In the photo above, it was Sheila and Neriza.

Thursday, May 10, 2018:  BIRTHDAY PARTY for May celebrants at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Roses and balloons for celebrants. DJ Bing Villafuerte.


Thursday, May 17, 2018:  DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. DJ Bing Villafuerte.

  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
