ST. PATRICK'S NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday March 15, 2018

Hello Dancers,   

 You are invited to a green ST. PATRICK'S NIGHT DANCE PARTY this Thursday March 15, 2018, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be prizes for best attire lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages. Pictures by the lake begin again because of Daylight Saving Time. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The great DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.


Last Thursday (March 8th) was a BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY at Eastlake. Thanks to some 1st-timers, to Jun Ancho and many of his Circle of Frenz, and to others, there were over 50 dancers enjoying the great music of DJ Bing Villafuerte, as you can see in the 6 photos below.

THURSDAY MARCH 8, 2018, BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

LINE DANCING, including lessons, was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, early in the night, dancing to "Rhythm Of The Rain", it was Edith and Zeny in the front line. 

FOOD TIME. Dancers posed for a photo before eating.  Here's a "Thank You", and some credits for very delicious food. Nick & Eden brought chili & beans and vegetable lumpia. Estrelle brought turon. Delia brought Danish dessert. Beth brought arroz caldo. Josie & Romy brought macaroni soup and coffee. Jake brought leche flan. Karina & Sheila brought chicken wings & dessert. Marilyn & Romy brought avocado dip & chips and finger food (cheese, meat & crackers). Cindy & Chito brought baked salmon and asparagus. JR & Sonia brought chicken.  Emelie brought mango & dessert. And, there was more.

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Chito and Nita were dancing to "Sofrito" cha cha.  

DJ JUN ANCHO tried out DJ Bing's seat for a minute.  There were 4 well-known Fil-Am DJs at the dance, including DJ Nickie and DJ Mel.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  The 3 March birthday celebrants at the party, Romy, Cindy and Nickie, were cutting the cakes in the photo above.

Thursday, March 29, 2018:  NO DANCE Party at Eastlake.  It's Holy Thursday, the day before Good Friday.   


Thursday, April 5, 2018:  70's DISCO NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Prizes for best attire. DJ Bing Villafuerte.



  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
