2ND ANNIVERSARY NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday March 22, 2018

Hello Dancers,   

 You are invited to a 2ND ANNIVERSARY NIGHT DANCE PARTY this Thursday March 22, 2018, celebrating the 2nd Anniversary at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages, PLUS cake and ice cream. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The incredible DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday (March 15th) was a ST. PATRICK'S NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake. Thanks in part to some 1st-timers, to some dancers returning after being away, and to others, there were 55 dancers enjoying the great music of DJ Mel Zaragoza, as you can see in the 5 photos below.

THURSDAY MARCH 15, 2018, ST. PATRICK'S NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

LOVELY LADIES BY THE LAKE.  Taking a break from non-stop line dancing from 6 to 7pm, and enjoying the first Thursday of Daylight Saving Time, it was Rei, Zeny, Nene and Nedy by the lake, in the photo above.  You can see this and about 80 of Nedy's photos on Nedy's Facebook.

FOOD TIME. Dancers posed for a photo before eating.  Here's a "Thank You", and some credits for very delicious food. Nick & Eden brought corned beef, cabbage, carrots and sweet potatoes. Delia brought vanilla & marble loaf cakes. Beth brought chicken curry & rice. Jake brought leche flan. Karina brought watergate salad. Sheila brought fruits. Rei brought suman and puto pao. Pat brought cassava cake. Ralph brought baked chicken. Suzanne brought spaghetti. Eva brought leche flan cake. DJ Mel & Susie brought potato salad. Rick & Connie brought assorted fruits. Divine brought Madeleine cakes. And, there was more.

BALLROOM DANCING, which we guys preferred, alternated with line dances from 7pm - 10pm.  Above, Bert Alota and Nita were dancing to "Princesita" merengue. 

BEST ATTIRE WINNERS for the St. Patrick's Night Dance Party were Romy, Marilyn, Dwayne, Eva, Eden, Neriza, Menchie, Pat and Olive, flanked by judges Nina, Rei and Edith, in the photo above.

Thursday, April 5, 2018:  70's DISCO NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Prizes for best attire. DJ Bing Villafuerte.


Thursday, April 12, 2018:  BIRTHDAY PARTY for April celebrants at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Roses and balloons for celebrants. DJ Nickie Bascos.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
