Hello Dancers,
You are invited to the POLKA DOT NIGHT DANCE PARTY this Thursday night September 28th at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be prizes for best POLKA DOTTED attire, lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation. Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The fabulous DJ Bing Villafuerte again will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.
DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive. Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive. The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.
Last Thursday (September 21st) at Eastlake, 25 dancers enjoyed dancing as you can see in the following 4 photos. LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night. Above, dancing to "Back Together", a brand new line dance for Eastlake Thursday nights, it was Sheila and Edith in the front line.
FOOD LINE. Above, Nina was getting ready to give a blessing for the food. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits. Nick & Eden brought barbecued chicken and fried rice. Ralph brought baked chicken. Mel (not the DJ, but the other Mel) brought seaweed salad. Beth brought mango & grapes. Karina brought buttered mochiko. Rei & Belen brought fruits. And, there was more.
BALLROOM DANCING. We guys preferred the ballroom dances. Above, Nedy and Ralph were dancing a swing dance.
LYDIA WAS OUR HOST, because Ruben is on a 2-week vacation in Peru. Lydia, who lives in Eastlake, coincidentally was the owner of Point Point Joint and the host for Thursday night dances there for many years. Above, Lydia was dancing with Mel.

Thursday, October 12, 2017: BIRTHDAY PARTY DANCE NIGHT at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Roses for birthday girls. Balloons. DJ Bing Villafuerte.
Also starting on October 12th: DJ Mel Zaragoza will be the DJ at new Thursday night dancing at Cora Anderson Dance Studio (CADS), at 8990 Miramar Road, Suite 250, San Diego CA 92126, making for a weekly 3-night stretch (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) of dancing at CADS. There was more discussion at Eastlake, and the vote was to continue Thursday night dancing at Eastlake with DJ Bing.

It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties. This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
