BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY in EASTLAKE This Thursday September 14, 2017

Hello Dancers,

Join a BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY this Thursday night September 14th at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages, and roses for ladies with September birthdays. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The marvelous DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday (September 7th) night's dance at Eastlake, with 35 happy dancers enjoying DJ Bing's great music, as you can see in the 10 photos below.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 7, 2017, DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

WHITE KNIGHT.  Actually Nina had asked dancers to wear white so it could be a white night for her birthday party on Sept 7th.  Ralph was dressed totally in white.

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, dancing to "Over The Rainbow" line dance, it was Edith and Nedy in the front line.

FOOD LINE.  Above, Nina gave a blessing for the food. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits. Nick & Eden brought chicken sotanghon, dumplings and fried anchovies. Mel (not the DJ, but the other Mel) brought pancit canton. Beth brought mongo. Belen brought the big birthday cake. Josie & Romy brought sliced mango. Romi & Geraldine brought lumpia and casaba cake. Nene brought puto. Jake brought leche flan. Solly brought spaghetti. Nina brought miki bihon and chicken wings.  And, there was more.

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Eden and Nick were dancing to a cha cha.

SELFIES were taken by the hundreds.  Above, one of the best was Nedy and Dolly.  You can see more on Nedy's Facebook.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  Above, Nina was treated to a birthday party, featuring among other things, a giant cake.

BIRTHDAY-GREETERS surrounded Nina.  The guys did, too, but the women look better.

SERENADE.  Nina was serenaded by Romy, San Diego's Filipino Elvis, with the song "Am I That Easy To Forget".

WEST COAST SWING.  Vic, an accomplished dance instructor, and Annie danced a West Coast Swing demonstration to the song "Ooh Poo Pah Doo".

RUMBA.  I got to dance the rumba "Quien Sabe" with Zeny, who had been absent from Thursday night dancing for a long time.

Here's the dance party plan for the next few Thursdays:

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous informal instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night dance lesson in San Diego.

(2)  You can click on Links to YouTube MUSIC VIDEOS and other websites that are mentioned in this email (the links are colored like this of "Over The Rainbow").  You can get more info at websites like: this email group's Home Page and Upcoming Events.

(3)  If you do NOT want these weekly emails anymore, you can "unsubscribe" by e-mailing or calling me (619-224-3095).
