ARABIAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY in EASTLAKE This Thursday August 31, 2017

Hello Dancers,  

  You and all sheiks and harem queens are invited to the ARABIAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY this Thursday night August 31st at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll be prizes for best attire (it may be as hot as Arabia this week), lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The adorable spectacular DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

GOING BACK IN TIME:

2012:

'WOBBLE' IN LUCKY STAR.  In 2012 the "Wobble" was a popular dance, and there was weekly dancing in the now-closed Lucky Star on University Avenue.  Above was a scene on August 15, 2012, in Lucky Star.


2013:

WALTZ LINE DANCE.  Above, folks were dancing on August 22, 2013, in the now-closed Point Point Joint to "Right Thing We Do" waltz line dance.


2014:

LINE DANCING IN POINT POINT JOINT.  Above, folks were dancing to "Bachata Risma" in Point Point Joint on August 28, 2014. 


2015:

FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON had Thursday night dancing in 2015.  Above, on October 15, 2015, dancers got together for a group photo in Four Points on Aero Drive.  


2016:

Thursday, September 14, 2017: BIRTHDAY PARTY DANCE NIGHT at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Roses for birthday girls. DJ Mel Zaragoza.


Thursday, September 21, 2017:  NO DANCE at Eastlake.  Clubhouse is reserved by another group again.  


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous informal instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night cha cha cha dance in San Diego.
