NO DANCE in EASTLAKE This Thursday August 24, 2017

Hello Dancers,  

  Sorry, but there's NO DANCE this Thursday night at Eastlake.  Another group reserved the clubhouse.  But, it will be Arabian Night the following Thursday, August 31st.


Last Thursday (August 17th) at Eastlake, it was SHORTS & BEACH PARTY NIGHT DANCE.  Thanks in part to 5 first-timers, there were 30 happy dancers enjoying DJ Bing's great music, as you can see in the 7 photos below.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)

THURSDAY AUGUST 17, 2017, SHORTS & BEACH PARTY NIGHT DANCE at Eastlake:

FOOD LINE. Above, Nedy gave a blessing for the food. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits. Nick & Eden brought spaghetti with meatball sauce and garlic bread. Sheila brought mixed fruits. Mel (not the DJ, but the other Mel) brought seaweed salad. Beth brought binatog (a Philippine corn food). And, there was pizza and more.

FIRST-TIMERS Leti and Christina were in another of Nedy's photos.

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, dancing to long-time favorite "Caballero", it was Edith, with Geraldine, Neriza, Myrna and Nene in the next line, more or less.

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances. Above, Elma and DJ Mel danced to "Tequila".

Thursday, August 31, 2017:  ARABIAN NIGHT at Eastlake,  6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Prizes for best attire. DJ Mel Zaragoza.


Thursday, September 7, 2017: DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


Thursday, September 14, 2017: BIRTHDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Mel Zaragoza.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous informal instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night cha cha dance in San Diego.
