Let's have some summer fun at the SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS Dance Party this Thursday night July 20th at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be prizes for best attire, lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation. Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The fabulous DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.
DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive. Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive. The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.
Last Thursday (July 13th) at Eastlake, Birthday Party Night, 30 happy dancers enjoyed DJ Mel's great music, as you can see in the 8 photos below. THURSDAY JULY 13, 2017, BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:
FOOD LINE. Above, Nina gave a blessing for the food. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits. Nick & Eden brought chili and buns. Beth brought watermelon. DJ Mel brought lots of paella. Ralph brought chicken. Nedy brought halo halo making equipment and ingredients. Nene brought cochinta. Rudy brought cheesecake. And, there was more. Nick's visiting sister Lety was sitting in the photo above.
LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night. Above, dancing to "Sugar Sugar", a new bachata line dance for Thursday night, it was Maria, Nedy, DJ Mel and Eden in the front line, more or less.
BALLROOM DANCING. We guys preferred the ballroom dances. Above, Nick and Eden dancing to "Luna", a rumba.
RUMBA. Above, Nene and Jake danced to another rumba, the beautiful "No Matter What".
NO MATTER WHAT. Above, also dancing to "No Matter What", it was Neriza and Lito.
LADIES BY THE LAKE. Above, taking a break from dancing to pose by Eastlake, it was Nedy and Elma.
SELFIES were in abundance as usual. You can see many of them on Nedy's Facebook, including this one of Geraldine, Romi and Nedy.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY. While Eva held a Happy Birthday carrot cake, Suzanne (with roses) and DJ Mel, the only two July birthday people in attendance, were honored by others including Edith and Nedy singing "Happy Birthday".

It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties. This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance. Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night swing dance lessons in San Diego.
