BIRTHDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY in EASTLAKE This Thursday July 13, 2017

Hello Dancers,  

  Let's celebrate the July birthdays at the Dance Party this Thursday night July 13th at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, so if your birthday is in July, come to your party.  There'll be roses for birthday girls, balloons, cake, and lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The wonderful DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

THURSDAY JULY 6, 2017, DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, dancing to "Hayra" line dance, it was Edith, Myrna and Nene in the front line.

BELLA ITALIA.  A while later, line dancers enjoyed "Bella Italia", a relatively new line dance at Eastlake.  Above, Edith, Beth and Nedy were in the front line.

FOOD LINE.  Above, Nina gave a blessing for the food. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits. Nick & Eden brought sinigang and rice. Beth brought spaghetti.  DJ Mel brought lots of Chinese food. Ralph brought pancit.  Gino & Edith R brought pancit.  Royce & Maria brought kettlecorn popcorn.  Vanessa brought banana raisin cupcakes. And, there was more.

FOUR BY THE LAKE.  Above, taking a break from dancing to pose by Eastlake, it was Nina, Nedy, Jake and Vanessa.

THE SINGER & DANCER. Giovanni sang for the dancers again. Above, he danced with Mona to "How Will I Know". 

WELCOME BACK.  We welcomed Maria and Royce back to Thursday night dancing, after an extended absence.  Above, they too were dancing to "How Will I Know".

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Elma was dancing with first-timer Florencio to the tango "El Choclo".  Florencio is a very skilled dancer.

GINO & EDITH R were also back after much traveling, and they too were dancing to "El Choclo".

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Susie, who was admiring a Happy Birthday carrot cake held by husband DJ Mel in the photo above.

Thursday, August 3, 2017:  HAWAIIAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake,  6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Prizes for best attire. DJ Bing Villafuerte.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night rumba dance lessons in San Diego.
