CARIBBEAN NIGHT with HAT CONTEST Dance Party in EASTLAKE This Thursday June 22, 2017

Hello Summer Dancers,  

  Let's kick off summer with a CARIBBEAN NIGHT and HAT CONTEST dance party this Thursday night June 22nd at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages. And, prizes for best attire. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The spectaculer DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

THURSDAY JUNE 15, 2017, DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

FOOD LINE.  Above, Nina was back and gave a blessing for the food. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits. Rei and Belen brought 7-layer dip and chips.  Elma brought chicken. Ralph brought cake. Romy brought pineapple. Beth brought arroz caldo. Nick & Eden brought pancit and guisado. Ruben brought jalea Peruvian fish. And, there was more.

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, dancing to "Take Me Away" line dance, it was Edith more-or-less alone in the front line, with Rei and Belen behind her. 

CONGRATULATIONS to newlyweds Nick and Eden, on their second week back at Eastlake after Nick's recovery from a broken arm. 

THE RING. Well, I don't know if it is "THE" ring, but I spotted Eden's hand later in the night and snapped this photo.

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, first-timer Misha danced to "Funkytown" with Bert Alota.

FUN DANCING. I got to dance the swing or hustle "No Limit" with first-timers Estrelle and Claudia, and Myrna, Romy and Neriza joined in.

Thursday, July 13, 2017:  JULY BIRTHDAYS CELEBRATION & DANCE PARTY, with roses and balloons at Eastlake,  6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Mel Zaragoza.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night salsa dance lessons in San Diego.
