Birthday Dance Party at Eastlake This Thursday May 11, 2017

Hello Dancers!

Let's celebrate the May birthdays at the Dance Party this Thursday night May 11th at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll be roses for birthday girls, balloons, cake, and lots of dancing and snacks and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The wonderful DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.

DIRECTIONS:  Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday (May 4th) was MEXICAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, featuring many dancers in Mexican attire.  There were over 30 happy dancers who enjoyed dancing to DJ Bing's music, as you can see in the 5 photos below.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)

THURSDAY MAY 4, 2017, MEXICAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

LOVELY LADIES BY THE LAKE.  Above, there were lovely ladies by the lake.  You know who they are.  During this time of year, dancers take hundreds of lakeside photos.

FOOD TIME.  Above, Nina gave a blessing for the food, and said a prayer for Nick Enriquez who is in a convalescent facility, recovering from a broken arm and complications.  Here's a "Thank You", and some credits.  Beth brought mono with bitter melon and rice.  Rei and Belen brought rolled taquitos.  Nedy brought corn.  Mel (not the DJ, but the other Mel) brought pancit canton.  Joe and Nora brought cocoanut croissants.  Lou brought siopao. Elma brought watermelon.  Mike brought chili.  There was pizza and more.

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, Edith and Belen were in the front line for "La Ultima Noche", a long-running line dance for Thursday night dancers.

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Boyet and Lisa danced to "Tango De Milo"

MEXICAN NIGHT ATTIRE WINNERS, too many to name, lined up for photos.  I think either Marilyn or Nedy was the grand prize winner.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night cha cha cha dance in San Diego.
