Hello Dancers,
Vertical, horizontal or any other type of STRIPES on your clothing may be good enough to win a prize at STRIPES NIGHT this Thursday, September 29, 2016, at the Eastlake Shores Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. Besides prizes, there'll be snacks and beverages. A $5 donation will be requested. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation. Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The phenomenal DJ Bing Villafuerte will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm.
DIRECTIONS: Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive. Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence.
Last Thursday, September 22, 2016, thanks to visitors from LA and several North County dancers, there were about 45 happy dancers partying at Eastlake to the music of DJ Mel Zaragoza, as you can see in the following 7 photos. (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are. If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)
THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 22, 2016, Dance Party at Eastlake:
THE FOOD LINE. Once again, dancers brought plenty of great food. Nick & Eden brought champorado. Emelie and Elsa brought bibinka and lumpia. Nedy brought pancit palabok. DJ Mel brought spaghetti. There was macaroni & cheese and a lot more.
LINE DANCING was non stop from 6 until 7pm. Dancers from North County, Edith (in center) and Judy (on the left, wearing stripes) enjoyed line dancing. Later on, in a humorous moment, Judy became the model for the upcoming STRIPES NIGHT PARTY.
'CABALLERO' is still a line dance favorite. Above, it was Myrna, Edith and Royce in the front line. Royce and I have something in common - we are both often mystified by the sequence of steps in line dances.
BALLROOM. We guys tend to prefer ballroom dances. For example, above Jake was happy dancing with Nene.
LOOKING GREAT in GREEN! Above, Lou and Dwayne enjoyed dancing.
DANCING, maybe to a West Coast Swing, above it was Bobet and Ronnie.
LUCKY ME! I got to dance with Judy from North County to the boogie "Bop To Be".

It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.
Hoping to see you on the dance floor,
Bert & Edith

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties. This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego. While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance. Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instruction while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night bachata dancing in San Diego.
(2) You can click on Links to YouTube MUSIC VIDEOS and other websites that are mentioned in this email (the links are colored like this of "Bop To Be"). You can get more info at websites like: this email group's Home Page and Upcoming Events.
