EASTLAKE DANCE PARTY This Thursday September 22, 2016

Hi Happy Dancers,  
   It'll be a joyous dance party again at Eastlake this coming Thursday night, September 22, 2016.  There'll be snacks and beverages.  A $5 donation will be requested.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The incredible DJ Mel Zaragoza will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm.  
DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence.

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 15, 2016, POLKA DOT Dance Party at Eastlake:

LINE DANCING was non stop from 6 until 7pm.  Above, dancers were dancing to a relatively new one - "Quiero" - with Myrna, Edith, Nene and Nedy in the front line. 

THE FOOD LINE.  There was plenty of great food for these hungry dancers.  Nick & Eden brought champorado.  Beth brought macaroni salad.  Belen and Rei brought empanadas.  Gino & Edith R brought fruit & baked bananas. And, there was a lot more. 

POLKA DOT DANCERS were in abundance for a line dance favorite - "La Ultima Noche" - with Neriza, Edith, Josie and Belen in the front line. 

SMOOTH.  Nene and Mel (not DJ Mel, but the other Mel) looked good dancing to the cha cha "Smooth".

DJ MEL was dancing in the photo above with Neriza, also to the cha cha "Smooth".

MERENGUE.  Above, Edith and Ruben were dancing to the new merengue "Bailar".

ELSIE & PING also danced to "Bailar" in the photo above.

WINNER NERIZA got a prize in the POLKA DOT NIGHT attire contest.

WINNER NINA got a POLKA DOT NIGHT prize, too.  

WOW!  Well, if there had been a Best Couple attire prize, Dwayne & Eva would've had my vote.

Thursday, October 6, 2016:  Dance Party in Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Mel Zaragoza.


Thursday, October 13, 2016:  BIRTHDAY NIGHT Dance Party in Eastlake, celebrating birthdays of dancers born in October with roses, balloons and cake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instruction while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night hustle dancing in San Diego.
