BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY at LOLA HAPPY BISTRO Thursday May 8, 2025

Hello Dancers,  
  You are invited to a BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY at Lola Happy Bistro this coming Thursday May 8th, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ), with the great DJ Bing Villafuerte.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, and food and beverages off the menu (don't bring any food or beverages - you are urged to buy a dinner, even if you just take it home).  DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 9:30pm.  A mild and dry night is currently forecast.

  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

A CINCO DE MAYO & MEXICAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, May 1, 2025, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a mild and dry night.  There were almost 60 in attendance, thanks in part to 4 first-timers.  Here are 6 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most were copied from Facebook posts:

  LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, Roland led the happy well-practiced Roland's Inspiring Dancers in a line dance called "The Mexican Way" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQeYlRHBgaM ).  Let's see. Roland, Zeny, Remy and Eva were in the front line.  Merely, Mary Jane and Lolit were in the 2nd line, more or less.  Irish and Sol were in back.

 WINNING SINGLES in Cinco de Mayo-Mexican Night attire posed for the photo above.  In this photo we see Lou, Florita, Beth, Remy, Virgie, Angie, Nedy, Lolit, Estrelle, May, Luz, Zeny, Sol, Sally and Mary Jane.  Annie, Amor, Karina, Sheila and Eva were also winners but they were not in this photo of winners.  Josie and Rei handed out prizes to randomly selected prize recipients.

Thursday, May 29, 2025:  SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ).  6pm - 9:30pm. Safari  or Animal Prints-attired dancers vie for prizes.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These have been really fun ballroom and line dance parties, and Filipino dances.  While the dancing and music have been non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
