BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday August 15, 2024

Hello Dancers,  

  You are invited to a BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday August 15, 2024, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with the fabulous DJ Bing Villafuerte. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A warm and dry night is currently forecast.

  DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

AN AUGUST BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, August 8, 2024, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a warm and dry night.  There were 50 in attendance, thanks in part to 2 first-timers.  Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party.  Most were copied from earlier Facebook posts:

  LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm until 7pm.  In the photo above, Annie, Myrna and Chris were in front.

 

 

  BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above. Beth gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

  UPCOMING EVENTS for Thursday night dancing at Eastlake.  Ring Girls Annie, Jhosie, Rocio and first-timer Lina held up signs with the upcoming schedule for Thursday nights at Eastlake.  Lolit and Irish were assisting.

 

 

  BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance.  In the photo above, Rossana and Ver were dancing what looks like a cha cha dance. 

 

 

  THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION for people with birthdays in August was about 9pm.  There were 3 people with August birthdays, Carmi, Romy, and Rossana.

 

 

 THE BIRTHDAY CAKE.  Veronica (Myra) baked another delicious layer cake, and decorated it with what appears to be a garden surrounded by chocolate-filled barquillos acting as fence posts.  I had to ask Edith what the posts were.  I'd never heard of barquillos, a food that is apparently well-known in the Philippines.

 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
