BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday August 1, 2024

Hello Dancers,  

  You are invited to a BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday August 1, 2024, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with the wonderful DJ Bing Villafuerte. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A warm and dry night is currently forecast, again.

  DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A HAWAIIAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, July 25th, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a warm and dry night.  There were over 70 in attendance, the all-time highest attendance for our Thursday dances at Eastlake, thanks in part to 5 first-timers.  Here are 11 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party.  All were copied from earlier Facebook posts:

 

  NINE BY EASTLAKE.  Nine Hawaiian Hight dancers posed by Eastlake early in the evening.  Jhosie, Janet, Divine, Liz, Elaine, Merly, Aurea, Annie and Geraldine posed for the photo above.

 

 

  BEFORE EATING, dancers posed most in Hawaiian Night attire for the group photo above. Beth gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

  UPCOMING EVENTS for Thursday night dancing at Eastlake.  Ring Girls Zeny, Sol, Liza and Merely held up signs with the upcoming schedule for Thursday nights at Eastlake.

 

 

 DJ NICKIE & M.C. ROMY were busy with music and introductions for several special performances.

 

 

  VANGIE DANCED a sensuous hula dance in the photo above.

 

 

  "THE FRIENDS" in their Hawaiian Night attire danced a special dance to "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1bFr2SWP1I).  In front were Sheila, Eden & Karina. Connie, Josie (hidden), and Beth were next.  In back were Nedy and Angie (hidden).  Angie was recognized and applauded for being the choreographer of the performance.

 

 

  "TOOMA DANCERS" with some Eastlake Dancers performed a special line dance to "To You Sweetheart, Aloha" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9H4XNs8xLU ).  Irish, Liza and Mary Jane were in front. Zeny and Sol (hidden) were next, followed by Remy and Merely.

 

  DIVINE DANCED a very well-know Hawaiian song, "Hukilau" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzm_RUjNjOQ ) in the photo above.

 

 

  BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance.  In the photo above, Mary Jane and John were dancing what looks like a night-club 2-step dance.

 

 

  WINNING COUPLES who were still in Hawaiian attire at 9pm posed for the photo above.  They were Romi & Geraldine, Bing & Janet, Fe & Cesar (kneeling), Larry & Divine, Dante & Lita, Lolit & Michael (kneeling), Aurea & DJ Nickie, Ric & Connie, Chris & Remy, and Elaine & John.  As usual, prizes were awarded to some winners whose names were drawn randomly. Josie handed out prizes, and she was a prize donor.

 

 

 WINNING SINGLES who were still in Hawaiian attire at 9pm posed for the photo above, well at least most of them.  In this photo we see Rossana, Merely (back to camera), Karina, Minda, Vangie, Beth, Jhosie, Sunshine, Annie, Nedy, Manny, Sol, Zeny, Mary Jane (kneeling with interlopers Elaine & Lolit), Liza, Rima, Eden, Isabel and Angie.  Other winners not in this photo were Ester, Melba, Myrna, Gemma, Hilda, Estrelle, Sheila, Liz, Carmi, and Edna.

Thursday, August 22, 2024:  CARIBBEAN HATS, BEACH PARTY & SHORTS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Caribbean Hats-attired winners vie for prizes. DJ Nickie Bascos



 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
