DANCE PARTY with a BALLROOM DANCE EXHIBITION at Eastlake Thursday July 18, 2024

Hello Dancers,  

  You are invited to a DANCE PARTY with a Ballroom Dance Exhibition this coming Thursday July 18, 2024, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with the miraculous DJ Bing Villafuerte. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A warm and dry night is currently forecast, again.

  DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A JULY BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, July 11th, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a mild and dry night.  There were over 40 in attendance, thanks in part to 3 first-timers.  Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party.  Most were copied from earlier Facebook posts:

  BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above. Nedy gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

  LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6ppm to 7pm.  In the photo above, dancers were enjoying a special line dance performance by "THE EASTLAKE DANCERS".  They were dancing the "Smooth Funk" line dance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-Cz6AB7Ry0 ).  Valerie and Irish were in front. After them were Lolit, Mary Jane, Merely and Roland.

 

 

  BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance.  In the photo above, Isabel and Roland were dancing with everyone to the Jive Bunny Medley ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iDwk4n39R0 ).

 

 

  THE BIRTHDAY CAKE.  Veronica (Myra) baked another delicious chocolate layer cake, and decorated it with strawberries and blueberries to resemble the Stars & Stripes.

 

 

  BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION for people with birthdays in July was about 9pm.  There were 3 people with July birthdays, Ditas, Lydia, and first-timer Alexa.

 

 

 DANCING THE SWING to "Why" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rRgdsKuhrg ), I was enjoying dancing with Eva.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
