DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday January 2, 2020

Hello Dancers,   

 You are invited to welcome 2020 at a DANCE PARTY this Thursday January 2, 2020, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The great DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm. 

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday (December 26th) was a great MASQUERADE & NEW YEAR DANCE PARTY at Eastlake.  There were about 30 dancers enjoying the music of DJ Mel Zaragoza, as you can see in the 5 photos below.

THURSDAY December 26, 2019, MASQUERADE & NEW YEAR DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

GROUP PHOTO BEFORE FOOD. Dancers posed for this photo above before eating. Here is a big "THANK YOU" to people who brought a lot of delicious food.  Beth brought mango.  Carmen brought kutchinta and hopia desserts. Mel Paiste brought sotanghon with patola and shrimp.  Estrelle brought spaghetti. Connie & Rick brought a bean casserole. Rei brought salad and puto pao. Alice brought cake. Minda brought chicken and pie. Juliette brought chicken. Nene brought carbonara and leche flan.  Karina brought sliders. Sheila brought cake. Mel Zaragoza brought paella.  And, there was more.  This and many more photos taken by Ric are in the EastLake Shore Thursday Dance Group Facebook.

DJ MEL kept the music going all night. DJ Mel also won the award for Best Attired man.  

BALLROOM DANCING alternated with line dancing until 10pm.  In the photo above, Mark and Rei were dancing to "When The Girl In Your Arms". 

MASQUERADE WINNERS in another photo from Ric, we see Minda, Myrna, Rei, Nene, Beth, Estrelle, Arlene, Connie, Alice, Juliet, Karina, Sheila, Arcadia, Carmen and Loretta posing between judges Nina and Edith. 

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, then it alternated with ballroom dancing until 10pm.  The photo above was courtesy of Ric.  Estrelle, Bing and Sheila were in the front line, more or less, as line dancers enjoyed a relatively new one, the "Senorita" line dance.

Thursday, January 23, 2019:  CHINESE NEW YEAR DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Prizes for best attire. DJ Mel Zaragoza.


  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
