DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday August 1, 2019

Hello Dancers,   

 You are invited to a DANCE PARTY this Thursday August 1, 2019, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The spectacular DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm. 

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday (July 25th) was a great SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake.  Thanks in part to DANCESATION, about 6 first-timers, and several returning (after long absences) dancers, there were over 40 dancers enjoying the music of DJ Mel Zaragoza, as you can see in the 10 photos below.

THURSDAY July 25, 2019, SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

DJ MEL kept the folks dancing with musical variety.  In the photo above, his phone number (619-494-8692) was cut off.

SELFIES were taken by the dozen.  In the selfie above from Nedy's Facebook, the line dancing, which was was non-stop from 6 - 7pm, was probably "Si Tu Me Das", with Nene, Estrelle and Karina in the front row, more or less.

POSE BEFORE FOOD TIME. Dancers posed for the photo above before eating. Here's a "Thank You", and credits for delicious food. Beth brought cherries and mango. Nick & Eden brought fried anchovies, munggo and rice. Estrelle brought chicken sandwiches, turon and maha blanca. Karina brought mocca mix. Sheila brought banana bread. Geraldine brought corn cake dessert. Carmen brought spaghetti and macaroni salad. Nedy brought lumpia. Josie & Romy brought Romy's cassava special. Bert & Lennie Velasco brought fried fish.  And, there was more.

DANCING BY THE LAKE.  Dancing by Eastlake in the photo above, it was Karina, Eden, Geraldine and Sheila, in a photo from the EastLake Shore Thursday Dance Group Facebook.

BALLROOM DANCING alternated with line dancing from 7 - 10pm.  In the photo above, Lito and Daisy were dancing to the rumba, "Come Prima". 

DANCESATION STAR Bert Velasco was dancing the rumba with Rosa in the photo above. 

SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS NIGHT WINNERS, were honored in 4 or 5 categories, depending on how you count.  In the photo above, DJ Mel accepts a prize for best safari-attired guy.

Thursday, August 15, 2019:  No Dance.  Sorry, the Clubhouse is reserved by another Eastlake group.


Thursday, August 22, 2019:  HAWAIIAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Prizes for best attire. DJ Mel Zaragoza.


  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
