MARDI GRAS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake This Thursday February 15, 2018

Hello Dancers,   

 You are invited to a Mardi Gras Night Dance Party this Thursday February 15, 2018, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancers with beads, feathers & bright colors, plus dancing, fun, food and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The spectacular DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday (February 8th) was a VALENTINES &  BIRTHDAYS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake. Thanks to Jun Ancho and his Circle Of Friends, to about 10 first-timers, and to people who invited friends, there were 60 dancers !!  That tied the all-time high for Thursday night at Eastlake.  Dancers enjoyed the great music of DJ Bing Villafuerte, as you can see in the 7 photos below.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 8, 2018, VALENTINES & BIRTHDAYS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, early in the night, dancing to a new one for Thursday night, "Amarillo By Morning", it was Edith, Pat and Dolores in front, more or less. 

FOOD LINE.  Here's a "Thank You", and some credits for very delicious food.  Nick & Eden brought tocino, mung beans and rice. Estrelle brought arroz caldo.  Beth brought pancit.  Mel Paiste brought upo white squash.  Geraldine brought brownies. Rei and Zeny brought Greek salad and empanadas. Josie & Romy brought sandwiches and coffee.  Delia brought marble cakes.  Romy & Marilyn brought avocados. Divine brought tiramisu dessert. Medy brought popcorn. And, there was more. 

LADIES IN RED.  There were many beautiful ladies in red, and three of them, Estrelle, Eden and Divine posed for the photo above.

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Delia and DJ Mel were dancing to the bachata version of "Endless Love". 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY in February to Lou and to me, in the photo above.

SERENADE.  Romy serenaded birthday girl Lou with "Bailamos".

Thursday, March 1, 2018:  DANCE Party at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. DJ TBD.


Thursday, March 8, 2018:  MARCH BIRTHDAY PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Roses and balloons for March birthday celebrants. DJ TBD.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
