CHRISTMAS Dance Party at Eastlake This Thursday December 21, 2017

Ho Ho Ho Ho Dancers!

CHRISTMAS DANCE PARTY is this Thursday night Dec. 21st at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, beverages, festive attire, a gift exchange ($10 & up gifts)(but no attire prizes). It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The marvelous DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday (December 14th) night was December birthdays dance party at Eastlake, with about 40 dancers enjoying the great music of DJ Bing as you can see in the 6 photos below.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, dancing to "Quando, Quando, Quando" line dance, it was Edith and Nina more or less in the front line.

FOOD LINE.  Above, Nina was ready to give a blessing for the large amount of food. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits. Nick & Eden brought prime ribs and salad. Geraldine brought macaroni salad. Nedy brought corned beef brisket and cabbage. Karina brought banana bread. Sheila brought pandan gelatin. Ralph brought baked chicken. Suzanne brought turkey chili and toppings. BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Angie and Nando danced to the night club 2-step "Yo Te Amo". Angie also led dancers in the line dance "S'Aimera", a San Diego Filipino-American line dance favorite since Angie choreographed it in 1999.

NIGHT CLUB 2-STEP. Above, also dancing to "Yo Te Amo", it was Nene and Jake.

BIRTHDAY PARTY.  Getting ready to cut the cake, Estrelle, Chito and Carmen were celebrating their December birthdays.

SERENADE. San Diego's Filipino Elvis, Romy serenaded the birthday celebrants with his rendition of "How Did You Know"

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
