BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY in EASTLAKE This Thursday December 14, 2017

Hello Dancers,  

  Join a BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY this Thursday night December 14th at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages, and roses for ladies with December birthdays and balloons. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The marvelous DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

Last Thursday (December 7th) night was a fun dance at Eastlake, with about 25 happy dancers enjoying the great music of DJ Bing as you can see in the 4 photos below, while some dancers monitored the status of wildfires.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)

THURSDAY DECEMBER 7, 2017, DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, dancing to "Sweet Caroline" line dance, it was Edith in front of Geraldine and Zeny, while DJ Bing gave directions.

FOOD.  Above, Nina was ready to give a blessing for the large amount of food. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits. Nick & Eden brought apretada and noodle soup with vegetables. Geraldine brought macaroni fruit salad. Nedy brought chicken sotanghon soup. Karina brought chicken enchilada casserole. Nina brought chicken empanadas and suman. Sheila brought cookies. Ralph brought baked chicken. Suzanne brought papaya. Beth brought ampalaya with rice guisado. Estrelle brought fettuccine alfredo. Rosa brought bicho bicho and turon. And, there was more.

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Bert Alota and Suzanne danced to the salsa "Rie Y Llora".

SALSA. Above, a while later, Eden was dancing with Mel to another salsa "En Buenaventura".

Thursday, December 28, 2017:  NEW YEARS and MASQUERADE DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Nickie Bascos.


Thursday, January 4, 2018:  DANCE Party at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. DJ Nickie Bascos.


  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights, with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
