NO Dance Party at Eastlake This Thursday April 13, 2017

OK, Dancers,

Let's take a week off and commemorate this Holy Thursday April 13th.  So, NO dance this Thursday at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  The following Thursday, April 20th, will be 70's Disco Night at Eastlake, when DJ Bing Villafuerte will play the music.

Last Thursday (April 6th) was the APRIL BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, with about 30 happy dancers enjoying DJ Mel Zaragoza's music, as you can see in the 6 photos below.  (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are.  If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)

THURSDAY APRIL 6, 2017, April Birthdays Dance Party at Eastlake:

DJ MEL was up and running at 6pm for line dancing in the photo above.

FOOD LINE.  Above, Nina was giving a blessing for the food, and said a prayer from all the dancers for Nick Enriquez who was still in the hospital.  There was a lot of food.  Here's a "Thank You", and some credits.  Beth brought sandwiches.  Rei and Belen brought 4 pizzas!  For a change, there was still pizza left at quitting time.  Mel (not the DJ, but the other Mel) brought pancit canton.  Ralph brought baked chicken.  Medy brought a lot of pancit.  Dolores brought stewed beef and bibingka.  Nene brought puto.  Jake brought leche flan.  Mike brought meatballs and sauce. Ruben brought Peruvian carapulcra.  Romy and Marilyn (from Fallbrook) brought chips & guacamole dip.  And, there was more.

LEDY, MEDY & NEDY, together again, in the photo above.  Yes, these 3 ladies were at a Thursday night dance together about 3 years ago.

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, Edith and Rei were more-or-less in the front line dancing to "Open Book".

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOLORES.  Dolores got the roses and balloons as the only April birthday celebrant at the dance.  Above, Rei was dancing some sort of birthday celebration dance with Dolores.

AYALA LAND representatives dropped in to the dance during a U.S. tour.  Above, Charisse, who is a niece of Eden, Luisa, and Archie, all 3 from Ayala Land, posed with me and Edith.  The visitors, who have their offices in Makati City, Philippines, talked to dancers who were interested in investing in properties in the Philippines.

Here's the dance party plan for the next few Thursdays at Eastlake:

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night dancing in Chula Vista.

(2)  You can click on Links to YouTube MUSIC VIDEOS and other websites that are mentioned in this email (the links are colored like this of "Open Book").  You can get more info at websites like: this email group's Home Page and Upcoming Events.

(3)  If you do NOT want these weekly emails anymore, you can "unsubscribe" by e-mailing or calling me (619-224-3095).
