Birthdays Dance Party at Eastlake This Thursday April 6, 2017
Let's Celebrate, Dancers!
The Eastlake Dance Party this Thursday night April 6th features roses for birthday ladies and balloons for guys, for people with April birthdays. And, it's a 1-year anniversary celebration of dancing at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing and snacks and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation. Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The adorable DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.
DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive. Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive. The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.
Last Thursday (March 30th) was the BLACK & WHITE DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, with about 40 happy dancers enjoying DJ Bing's music. There was a lot of things happening, as you can see in the 6 photos below. (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are. If that doesn't work, you can either click on the places where the photos should be, or go to this website to see the whole email.)
THURSDAY MARCH 30, 2017, BLACK & WHITE Dance Party at Eastlake:
LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night. Above, Edith, Rei and Medy were in the front line dancing to a long-running favorite, "Carinito".
SUSIE & MEL BY THE LAGOON. Taking a break from line dancing, Susie and DJ Mel (who had the night off from DJ duties) looked very nice by the Eastlake Beach Lagoon. They later won the 1st prize for black & white attire.
FOOD LINE. Above, Nina was giving a blessing for the food, and said a prayer from all the dancers for Nick Enriquez who was in the hospital with a broken arm and other complications. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits. Beth brought mixed fruit. Rei brought Filipino meatloaf & jello. Mel (not the DJ, but the other Mel) brought sapin sapin. Nina brought dinner rolls. Becky & Aniel brought enchiladas. Joe & Nora brought a couple pizzas (which were gone in 60 seconds). Ralph brought baked chicken. Gino & Edith brought fruit. Joel & Rima brought strawberries. And, there was more.
ROMY & JOSIE were also best attire prize winners. AND, Romy sang two songs for dancers later on, "Les Bicyclettes De Belsize" and "First, Last, Everything".
BALLROOM DANCING. We guys preferred the ballroom dances. Above, Elsie and Ping were dancing a salsa to "Rie Y Llora" .
BLACK & WHITE NIGHT BEST ATTIRE WINNERS. Winners, all looked great. There were prizes for Best Couples and Best Individuals. Nina and Edith were judges.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties. This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance. Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night line dance in San Diego.
